One of Jongin’s biggest fears is hurting his legs. He’s scared that one day, the next injury will end up affecting his lower limbs. Maybe it’s not the thought of hurting his legs, but the idea of losing his ability to dance, that terrifies him so. Jongin loves dancing. It frees him. He expresses his innermost feelings with it. Hurting his legs could signal the end of his career and his self-expression.

“Dummy.” Kyungsoo smiles gently. “You’ll grow old, and when you do, your legs definitely will wear out then.”

Jongin pouts, obviously upset with the thought.

“But,” Kyungsoo continues, brushing a stray hair from his forehead. “That’s a long time from now. And you’ll do so much more before then. You'll still dance a lot of dances. And my love won’t fade just as easily.” He kisses Jongin softly, and they both close their eyes. “Remember that, okay?” he smiles when they part, foreheads resting together.

Jongin smiles. “Okay, Kyungsoo.”

“Kyungsoo,” Jongin calls him softly from his bed.

Kyungsoo looks up from the book he’s reading and tilts his head at the younger.

“Will you still love me when we’re both old and gray?” comes the innocent question.

“Of course.” He smirks, lazily swatting at Jongin with the book.

“But you’re like, 23, and that’s a long time to go and-“

“Jongin.” Kyungsoo admonishes, crossing the small space between their beds to lightly tap the dancer on his head. “I’ll love you until we’re seventy. And more. I’ll fall in love with you each and every day, just as hard as I did the first time. Every day, Kim Jongin.”
