Yixing woke up a little too early and greeted by a strange silence. Usually, he would woke up to Baekhyun's voice, when the vocalist who somehow crossing dorm, screeching some song he didn't bother to translate to Chinese in his head, or the sound of Tao nagging at Candy using mix of Korean and Chinese and alien language, and on some rarer day, he would be woke up only to the sound of Minseok making coffee in the kitchen. Reality hits him when he recognized the ceiling on top of his head wasn't the ceiling of his dorm room, but a different one that somehow he came to grew familiar with. He wasn't even in Korea, but in China, in the middle of filming his first movie. It was really exciting at first, well, it was still exciting, but being in a big group for some long years, no matter how suffocating it could be, he couldn't help but to feel a bit lonely when he was away from the rest of s.

A little shift from his side brought Yixing to another realization that he wasn't alone in his bed. Growing a smile on his face, he turned his body around to face another person who was taking half of the space of his bed and greeted by a familiar face he loved so much. It had been a while since he woke up to that face, back on the old days, that face was always the first one come to his sight no matter who woke up first. Luhan, everyone would agree that Luhan was really handsome and pretty, if only they know how he looked like a minute after he woke up, Yixing let out a silent giggle at the thought, but deep down, he still thinks Luhan look gorgeous no matter what. He shifted closer, just slightly, afraid that he would wake the sleeping beauty up. It was a pure bliss, just to be able to be together with one of the most important person in his entire existence, even if they did nothing, but it was still the most wonderful feeling ever.

Yixing hesitated as he shifted more, to get even closer to Luhan's face. He was debating in his head, whether if he should wake him up with a kiss or something, he didn't want to disturb the older, but at the same time, they didn't have much time because he had to go back to schedule soon, and he wanted some extra minutes for cuddles before they had to separated and not sure when they would meet again. Still arguing with himself, he unconsciously moved closer and closer to Luhan's face but it took him forever to actually kiss him. "If you are not going to do it, I will." Luhan suddenly blurted out, still with his eyes  closed, making the younger of the two flinched away slightly, followed by a crisp laugh.

Yixing hauled Luhan closer and peppering his face with small kisses from his forehead to his lids, going down to his nose and cheeks before shared some deeper ones on his lips, earning some little giggles from the older. Luhan's warm breath tickled his sensitive neck as the older buried his face there when they pulled away from their kiss, but he ignored the sensation and just wrapped his arms around the frail body. In few hours, they had to be separated again, comeback to their separated schedules and routines, unlike the old days when they have the same routine and eventually will be back to the same dorm, but then, they didn't even know when they could be lucky enough to be able to meet again. The constant texts, phone calls and video calls were never enough to cure their cravings towards each other's warmth. But they were thankful for every little chance they had to hear each other's voice, to see each other's face and simply for the realization that they have each other, for having a place to fall back on when they need some escape from their respective busy life.

"Happy birthday, Lu." Yixing whispered, only for Luhan to hear and kissed the top of his head, "Sorry, I didn't have a time to buy you a present." He continued with guilt apparent on his voice, he was genuinely felt bad for not preparing any birthday present for Luhan, not because he forgot, but he was simply too busy.

Luhan pulled away from the hug and cupped Yixing's cheek with creased brow, "Don't say that... It's not important," he said, referring to the birthday present, "This is good enough, this is perfect already," he smiled and planted one soft kiss on Yixing's lips before back to drawn himself in Yixing's embrace, full with Yixing's warmth and scent. They spent the next hour in bed, sharing soft kisses, whispering words of love and promises, and Luhan wouldn't want to exchange the little time he had with Yixing with any birthday present, because he already had the most perfect thing in his life, in the form of Zhang Yixing, his best friend, his other half, the love of his life.

"I love you, Luhan."

"I love you too." Luhan replied with soft voice and accompanied with a single tear of happiness rolling down on his cheek. He couldn’t ask for more perfect birthday.
