Chapter 1 : New friends, new school (1/4)

What the heck is LOVE?

I squeezed my eyelids even tighter as my alarm clock rings.  Getting up early is definitely something I have to practice.  The loud, blasting music started to make my ears hurt.  It's my first day for me, Taehee, to start fresh being a student at Seoul Arts & Academics High School.  All I can hear is all nine members of Girls Generation shouting (or perhaps singing, the alarm is really loud) that they love their oppas.  Oh-oh-oh-oh-oppa saranghae!  The song started to irritate me after a while.  I mean it was really really loud.  With a bit of annoyance, I sat up and slammed the alarm shut off.  On the other side of my room, I could see my twin brother, Lee Taemin yawning cutely.

"Good morning~"  I said to him in a sweet, sister loving way.  He completely ignores me while he fixes his bed.  Ugh!  I'm four minutes older than him!  He should respect his 4Minute (Teehee~ Heart to Heart to ~~) Noona.  Instead of trying to talk to him, I get up.  I wrinkle my nose as I could smell my mom making breakfast.  My mom and dad own a restaurant.  Which makes me and Taemin fat!  Okay, not really, but it's great to have good chefs as your parents.  The scent of kimchi fried rice = every Korean's love.

I take a quick shower, fix my hair, and put on the uniform.  Surprisingly, this uniform is quite comfortable.  I hate polos because they are so VERY itchy, but this one is quite comfy.  I slip on my plaid miniskirt, and jog down the stairs for breakfast.

"Good morning!" I said to my parents and Taemin, who happened to not hear me before.  They smile and greet me back.  I sit down in my chair and start eating. Surprisingly, we are pretty early for school.  Thanks to Girls Generation!  Uh-uh-uh-uh-unnie saranghae!  We finished our breakfast within a few minutes.  Our parents gave a short (seemed long, though) lecture about school.  With that, Taemin and I left our apartment, we walked a few blocks for the public bus transportation stop.  I sat down on the bench along with Taemin.

"Noona, I'm nervous.." Taemin says with a sad face, "what if I get bullied again?"  I glared at him.  One of the reasons we transferred is because Taemin got bullied by these horrible people.  I remember when I figured it out.  Of course, we did something about it.  And if someone lays a finger on Minnie, I will hunt them down.

"Taemin, you know I won't let it happen," I said with a reassuring smile.  He wipes his forehead with his backhand and slouches back in his seat as in some sort of relief.

The bus stop starts to get a bit crowded, noting that the bus will come in a few minutes.  People of all ages walked into the bus stop - students, elders, and adults.  A smile started to form on my face, as I saw students with the exact same uniform as we, approaching the bus stop.  Knowing that, I lightly flicked the back of Taemin's neck.

"Ouch!  Why are you so---" he was cut off by what it seems to be our fellow students.  I rose up from my seat and swiped the back of my skirt with my hands as I got up.  I took small, short steps - a bit nervous because it's the first impression you make.  Taemin as well got up, and put on a genuine smile.

"Annyeonghaseyo," Taemin and I say in unison, bowing at the same time too.  "You have the same uniforms as we do, so I'm assuming you go to Seoul Arts & Academics?" I asked, and held out my hand for them to shake.  There were two good looking boys - one was tall (a few inches taller than Taemin) and the other was distinguishly short (I'm probably the same height).  They shook our hands and put on polite smiles.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Jonghyun," the shorter one said, "and this is my friend, Minho." he said while pointing at the taller one.

"I'm Taemin, and this is my sister - Taehee." Taemin said.  The four of us exchanged friendly smiles, and I also heard the loud screeching noise of the bus' tires pressing against the road.  As the bus came to a stop, the four of us squeezed into one seat.  It was pretty much packed with lots of other people, but it was only the four of us with the similar uniform.

"So where did you come from?" Jonghyun asked us.  His eyes were really big (not as big as Minho's, though) and he had very toned muscles in his arm.  It makes up for his shortness, I guess.

"Well, we came from Busan, and we moved up here because of our parent's job," I explained to them.

For the fifteen minute bus drive, we had an enjoyable conversation as we exchanged some personal information and they also told us about the school.  It was nice knowing that you already made two nice, not to mention handsome, friends.

The bus came to a stop as it reached our school.  As soon as Taemin and I stepped down from the bus, we took a long glance at it.  It was definitely bigger than our other school.  It looked well constructed and pretty expensive.  I closed my eyes, hoping that my years at this school would be a good one.

- Jjong's POV -

I shut my alarm clock off, knowing me, I hate school.  I hate it - it's the reason why life .  Okay, not really, but you get the point.  Waking up early, tests, exams, tests ... Great, another boring day at school.  Everything besides hot girls and friends make me want to sigh.  Plus, I'm definitely not prepared for the exam Teacher Choi will give my class today.

I get up for the school day, and prepare myself as usual.  Nothing new, everything's the same.  I'm the only human being inside this apartment (my parents leave for work pretty early), I eat the same cereal, and I put on the same uniform.  As usual, I walk out of my apartment and across the hall, to meet one of my best friends - Minho.  We've been best friends since so long, I can't even count in on all ten fingers.  I knock on Minho's apartment, waiting impatiently.  This dongseng of mine takes too long to get ready for the day.

"Minho!" I yell and knock on the door.  Aish.  After waiting two minutes, the boy finally came out.

"Morning, hyung." he says.  We have a conversation while we ride the elevator to the main lobby.  As we walk to the bus stop, we see all familiar people.  As always.  The same, boring little things that happen every day.  Oh geez.  But something - something different catches my attention.  A really pretty girl - with long, black hair, and a great figure sitting next to a guy that looks like her brother.  I couldn't help but stare at her, I mean - she was tremendously beautiful.  And when she smiled, I couldn't help but smile either.  Looking at the clothes she and her brother were wearing, I realized that they probably go to our school.

They walk up to us, and greet us.  I could feel the butterflies in my stomach start to form as I hear her angelic voice, and sniff her refreshing scent.  This will be interesting.. different than the usual.

Pretty crappy chapter, am I right?  Not enough time and effort put into this, because I have lots of test and quizzes in school that I'm studying for.  But I'm trying my best to put some of my "sprinkles" and "icing" into the first chapter.  It's what get's the readers hooked, so I tried to make it the best I can.  It's really boring, and I'm really sorry.  I'll try to fix this chapter up if I get the chance.  Hopefully, you readers will give me a chance :D OK BYE.
