sukai - standing quietly together in the kitchen after long, exhausting days, leaning into each other for support, breathing in the smell of home, fingers carding through hair and down spines, until they feel like they can relax and smile properly again

Jongin stood at the counter, shoulders drooping as he washed dishes. The dishwasher had broken yesterday and they had at least 4 days of dishes to wash, because neither him or his boyfriend liked to do dishes or even use the dishwasher. And now they were being punished for it and having to wash dishes by hand. He’d had a long day and just wanted to veg out in front of the tv for a while before curling up in bed.
He felt arms wrap around his waist and a kiss was dropped on the nape of his neck. “Just let them soak, Nini, we can deal with it tomorrow.” said Junmyeon behind him. His breath tickled Jongin’s neck and he squirmed in his boyfriend’s hold.
“Hyung, hyung that tickles, stoooop,” he whined. Junmyeon chuckled and dropped another kiss on his neck. Jongin sighed and turned around in Junmyeon’s emobrace.
“You’re so tense!” said Junmyeon as his hands rubbed up and down across Jongin’s back.
Jongin nodded against Junmyeon’s head and rested his cheek against it. He reached over Junmyeon and grabbed a dry towel and quickly dried his hands. He dropped the towel back on the counter and wrapped his arms around Junmyeon’s slender waist and just breathed against his boyfriend. Junmyeon muttered quiet nonesense against Jongin’s chest until the tension in his shoulders slowly began to melt away. Jongin kissed Junmyeon’s hair.
“I love you, hyung.”
“Me too, Nini, me too.”
