i miss you,

tao looks at the clock above. 1:35am. he should be asleep by now, he needs to be up and ready in just a few hours for a flight to beijing. but the emptiness inside him is eating him up, swallowing him whole and he can’t help but feel sad. the bed next to him remains untouched, like the day before he left.

tao feels more alone than ever.

i miss your voice,

kris looks at the clock above. 12:35am. he should be asleep by now. but the night life in beijing looks more interesting as he strolls around. stalls here, stalls there, the entire city seems to be buzzing. he stops at a young man singing with an almost broken guitar, a crowd gathering around him,

that sang the songs you couldn’t say to me

kris feels empty.

your lips,

tao is now nursing a cup of tea, in hopes it can make him relax. he checks his phone but soon turns it off as he sees the background, tao closes his eyes and hopes to forget.

that held every laughter we shared

but tao can’t forget the man that always trips on air on purpose just to see him crack a smile.

your nose,

kris goes inside a café and the aroma of coffee beans being brewed hits him. he takes a seat next to the window once he makes his order and decides to open his phone for any new messages from his friends or his family,

that bumps into my chest when you want to cuddle

but kris turns his phone off because he realizes that the only message he wants is from the person who gets colds easily.

your hands,

tao releases a sneeze, and then shivers as he wraps his arms around himself. winter seems to be starting faster than he realizes,                   

that always seem to get cold so that i could hold them

tao thinks it gets colder easily now without him here.

i miss you

kris closes his eyes as he thinks of a certain panda-eyed boy who gets scared easily.

tao closes his eyes as he thinks of a certain english-speaking guy who is actually a total idiot.

from your hair

they feel that the nights seem to get longer,

to the tip of your toes

and the days get a little lonlier,

but they know that one day they need get used to it.

i love you

they also know that no matter what, they can't.

they won't.
