Part 2
Hidden in Vision
The words spoken through Sunggyu’s dry lips came out pretty hoarse.
It didn’t sound like him, it sounded kind of funny.
But that wasn’t important right now…
The reaction he got from Myungsoo was just priceless.
No one can imagine seeing such a quiet, reserved guy like him,
break down at simple words like that.
Sunggyu managed to raise his left hand up, while Myungsoo was busy crying.
He softly placed his hand on Myungsoo’s head and started .
Feeling his soft jet-black hair brushing against his palm.
Sunggyu could tell that Myungsoo is still trying his best to calm down.
His body jerks and fall every few seconds.
Sunggyu was grateful to see how much Myungsoo cared for him.
There is nothing happier than seeing your loved ones after waking up from a long nightmare...
Wait.
How long has he been asleep for?
It felt as if his soul has only just awaken; in that dark place earlier.
Numerous questions pops from his mind.
Something was off.
Why was he in the Hospital?
He was about to throw those questions at Myungsoo,
when all of a sudden, his hands gave out and fell back beside his body.
Images in front of him became groggy and grainy.
A sharp screeching noise blocked the conversation off.
He couldn’t hear a single thing Myungsoo was saying.
The last thing he remembers seeing, was his little brother’s worried face.
And then, darkness took over his sight again…
-
-
-
-
-
“Ya! You there. Are you awake?”
“Stop acting unconscious already. Get up.”
That voice…
It sounded familiar. For a moment, he thought he heard it before.
But he knew it wasn’t Myungsoo.
This voice is more... gentle, but also at the same time he felt mocked by it.
Who is this now?
When Sunggyu opened his eyes, the first thing he sees,
is a young man pacing back and forth.
Dressed in a long-sleeved blue shirt with white stripes,
a pair of pale brown Bermuda shorts and brown canvas shoes,
he looked like any typical young teenager on the streets.
Carefully, Sunggyu pushed his chest off from the ground.
He was surprised at how easy it was to get himself up.
Sunggyu looked around him.
This place is just, empty.
The whole place feels lit up because of the white walls and floorings.
There is no window or doors, and there isn’t any furniture too.
What has he got himself into again? Sunggyu sighed at that thought.
“See! I knew you were awake!” Sunggyu twitched at those words.
The young man paced towards him and squatted down.
Tilting his head a little, he placed a hand on Sunggyu’s shoulder.
“Look here, we don’t have much time. You have to go back-“
“What is this place? Who are you?” Sunggyu interrupted.
The young man squinted at him, then continued to roll his eyes.
Yes of course. He mumbled and stood up.
Offering his hand to Sunggyu, he managed a smile.
“You don’t have to know about this place, yet.
You can call me Jong, but some calls me Sungjong.
Don’t ask me about my age, because I don’t care about formalities.
I am, your spirit guide."
Sunggyu cocked his head.
Spirit guide? What the heck?
"That's not the problem now.
The problem is that you, need to get your up so that I can get you back to your body!”
Stunned by how disrespectful the young boy's words were, Sunggyu unwittingly grabbed his hands.
Sungjong's fingers were so slim and fragile-looking, but his strength was no joke,
it startled Sunggyu a little when he pulled him up..
“H-How do I get back to my body?”
“Leave it to me. Don’t worry it'll be quick. Now...”
With those words said, Sungjong covered Sunggyu’s eyes.
What came after was so unexpected…
.
.
.
'Whack!'
Sunggyu felt as if he just got shot in the forehead, but the next thing he knew,
he was sitting upright, perspiring on the hospital bed.
