Chapter 5 [Painful Dream]
Touch[Painful Dream]
Jong Kook’s team drove the car for about four hours before they arrived at a remote mountain villa, one that they had used before for guarding someone in secret like this. Due to work of Jong Kook and other such talented security guards, the company grew to be the largest security companies, thus attracting more and more important figures as their clientele. Thus they had to provide a nice place to stay, and as such the building itself as well the view was excellent.
“Wow…. Is it really alright to stay in such a fancy looking place?”
“It’s a shelter that’s under direct control of our company. You are welcome to stay here comfortably as you are a client.”
“Ah, I see.”
Jong Kook showed Ji Hyo to the room on the second floor and asked Gary to bring up her luggage. Gary told her that she had a separate bathroom next to her quarters and also of the house rules.
“For your meals, you can eat with us or you can eat by yourself. If you plan on going to the town at the foot of the mountain here, you have to order one of us to go in your stead or let us accompany you. You must never go out alone. You also cannot use your phone or the internet. If you want to use the internet, you can use the computer on the first floor but you cannot use it to contact others or take any action that reveals your location. The computer has a locking mechanism on it, so you must tell one of us before you use it.”
Gary added, “Is there anything else you’re curious about?”
“N-No. Actually, I’ll cook the meals. You’re all doing so much, I want to do at least that much in return.” Ji Hyo smiled prettily in all earnestness and gratitude.
Gary who had been expressionless then, felt his ears turn red.
“Ah, well…. You can decide that on your own…. Then please, get some rest.”
In his state of being flustered and not knowing what to do, the muffled sounding accent slipped back into his speech. As if embarrassed, Gary quickly left the room.
Ji Hyo found it funny, letting out a huff of amusement and then sitting on the bed. A sigh escaped her, as she thought how things had some to be like this.
“If only I hadn’t gone out to get ice cream that time, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Four days ago.
Ji Hyo yawned, “Geez, I’m so tired. And it’s really hot and stuffy today.”
She was a rather promising up and coming photographer, thus always worked late into the night. Like all the other days, she was working on her photos until past midnight when she suddenly craved some ice cream.
As one who hated the heat, at last she trekked into the night in her worn out clothes.
There weren’t too much people living in the neighborhood, so the streets were quiet and desolate. At this hour there were no people, nor cars, not even a stray cat.
Passing alley after alley like that, she bought the ice cream and bit a mouthful as she returned home. At the unexpected sound of a car, she hid herself behind a dark wall without quite knowing why. Maybe it was because she was embarrassed at her shabby appearance, but as she was hidden for now she stared at the the one car in the middle of the alley carefully as to not get caught.
A man stepped effortlessly out of the luxurious looking black sedan. He was tall, a little large, and quite handsome but wore a chilling expression that was void of any shred of emotion.
Feeling chilled by the sight, Ji Hyo hid herself further into the wall.
The man looked around for a moment, and opened the trunk to take something out.
Ji Hyo quickly covered and turned her body in order to suppress her scream that arose having seen it.
Her heart beat so fast it felt like it was going to burst, and an enormous fear took hold of her.
She had only planned on a short wa
