Fate. What could it do to someone? Yixing didn't know about fate like Luhan did, but he seemed happy, and fate didn't seem to be in the way of their friendship. The two were happy, and they'd spend their days at each other's houses. That one day, Yixing was over at Luhan's place, and they were running around chasing each other when the groud shook. Pieces of undefined material came crashing down, glass smashed on the floor, and the world was falling. Bricks landed beside the boys, and Yixing stood there, screaming in horror as he fell to the ground, waving his hands around trying to 

"Yixing! Quick, lie down on the floor," Luhan exclaimed at the whimpering Yixing. He looked petrified, but followed Luhan's instructions. After he had done so, Luhan fell onto the floor too and used his own body to protect Yixing from being hurt. He bit his lip at the pain he was enduring, but he knew he couldn't let his best friend get hurt, even if it was just a cut. 

"Lu-ge...stop....you're going to hurt yourself..." Yixing managed to whisper.

"But then you'd be hurt," Luhan mumbled. He could see his own blood on the pieces of concrete, and the pain that he was enduring was unbearable, even for an adult. But he knew he had to...for Yixing. The ground still shook, and pieces still came crashing down on Luhan, and before he knew it, Luhan was unconscious with Yixing screaming out his name.

"Lu-ge...wake up..." Yixing sobb
