The House of Moir has a history of breeding the most merciless and ruthless vampires known. Kris, one of the first decendents of the Archduke of Moir, strips away his own title and decides to throw away his life as the Duke of Moir to start anew in the quaint town of Ombra Valley; a land that is protected by Ancient Magic and Laws. It is the only place where vampires, humans, and non-humans are able to live in peace with no bloodshed.
Just as he tries to settle into his new lifestyle, Kris stumbles across the independent and strong-willed human, Tao. He is deeply shaken and finds it almost impossible to distance himself from what should be his prey. But when his revengeful past suddenly catches up with him, is he able to find the long lost human pieces within himself to protect his newly found life?

Shadow Call Terms
Vampires - dark dwellers, immortals; the strongest race within the shadow call au. There are four pure-blood vampire bloodlines known as "Royal Blood": Vanile, Moir, Silver, Blaire
Hunters - humans with magic running through their blood; can live as long as vampires, but tend to have short life spans due to the ongoing feud between hunters and vampires. Only the families with Old Hunter Blood are called "Immortal Hunters": Triste, Aelia, Liviu, Celest
Witches/White Witches - devious, conniving, and their curiosity and weak-will for temptation leads them to trouble; the saying "Curiosity Killed the Cat" probably rooted from these mischievious swindlers.
Shape-shifters - can freely transform between their human and animal form; independent creatures who are overly protective of what belongs to them. However, they have a history of being captured and enslaved for vampires.
Humans - mortals; simple, thoughtful creatures. Most are oblivious of the existence of dark dwellers and non-humans.

aug. 9. 2014 - hello :) so this series was something I had created a few years back when I was in the super junior fandom. using my old lj account, i had actually finished the 1st story of the series, but never got around to finishing the other installments. sudden inspiration struck, and i rekindled the dying flame i had for this series. i kept the title of the 1st story the same, but the storyline and characters are, of course, different.
hope you enjoy this! and for those curious about my other series "freefalling kisses~ the story": yes, i have decided to continue writing the series. and yes, the next chapter will be out in due time.
please understand about sudden hiatus' and late uploads; as a little background info, i am currently a third year biochemistry major also minoring in psychology. school is very hectic, but i do enjoy writing as it is a creative outlet and something i enjoy :)
