The Boy Painted Silver
Description
Every day Kyungsoo walked through the same park to get to work from his apartment, to college from work, and finally to his apartment from college. Every day Kyungsoo passed by the same statue. It was situated in the center of the park with all trails leading straight to it. And every day Kyungsoo would stop to stare at it.
The statue was of a boy in a tuxedo, top hat titled on his head, brim pinched between his index finger and thumb, a cane in his other hand, and his left leg crossed behind his right. The stance was casual, but Kyungsoo was mesmerized by the statue's face. It was so detailed, and the hair looked so real that Kyungsoo had to stop himself sometimes from reaching up and caressing the statue's cheek.
It was just a statue. Just a silver statue.
