Chapter 25
Let's Not Fall In Love (Former Just Another Girl)“I thought you guys won’t be here until tomorrow morning?” Eunyoung asked him.
“Well, we were originally supposed to come here tomorrow but I couldn’t just wait. It’s Namyangju after all.” He replied.
“How come you knew I’d come home?” She asked again, wondering why he was at her house rather than heading straight to the hotel or his own house.
“I went home by myself and then I just came here, thinking you’d prefer to sleep here rather than the hotel.” He answered.
He really is my bestfriend. He knows what I prefer the most. She smiled to herself.
“So, until what time are you staying here?” She asked.
“Until tomorrow.” He simply answered.
“WHAT???” She yelled at him.
“Our house is being renovated so I don’t want to stay there. It’s too messy for me.” He said.
“So, you’re solution is coming over to my house and pester me all night, is that it?” She raised a brow.
“Yup, exactly!” He coyly smiled when he noticed her Kai standee in the corner. “You’re still keeping this thing, huh?” He went towards it and flicked it.
“Hey, don’t touch that!” She approached it and fixed it up.
Junhoe’s face scrunched. Everytime he assaults that standee, she’d come and tidy it up. “Why are you obsessed with that?”
“I am not obsessed with anything.” She said.
“Then what do you call that?” He asked.
“I’m just being protective about something that really means a lot to me.” She said as she smiled towards her standee of EXO’s Kai.
“What’s so special about that standee? You bought it in that shop for just a cheap price.” He said.
“This standee is like a representation of Kai, who I really admire.” She told him.
“Do you really like that EXO guy?” He asked.
She sat down on her bed and smiled at Junhoe. “Yes but not in a romantic kind of way. I like the fact that he’s a really good dancer and even though most of the times, he has injuries, he still performs on stage.”
“That’s it? A lot of dancers get injured too, not just him.” He pointed out.
“I know.” She paused and giggled all of a sudden. “I actually liked him because of you.”
“ME?” He asked. “But I don’t even like him.”
“Exactly!” She answered. “We were watching them on broadcast back then and you really despised them, especially him, saying they weren’t special at all. I just wanted to tease you so I told you I liked him and that he was a better dancer than you. Soon enough, I didn’t realize, I was really becoming his fan.” She smiled at how stupid and childish her reason was.
So, it was because of me. He liked him because of me… He thought.
Junhoe didn’t talk so much after that. He was too absorbed with his thoughts and sudden realizations that he wasn’t himself at all.
Next day came and the students were eating their breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Junhoe and Eunyoung came back just in time to join the others. As soon as they entered the room, one person just couldn’t help but be annoyed.
He’s already here. Mark thought.
“Annyeong!” Eunyoung greeted her friends and GOT7 who were eating together in a table.
“Junhoe’s already here? Where are the others?” Haeryung asked.
“They’re almost here. I came last night but slept at Eunyoung’s house.” He smiled.
Slept at Eunyoung’s house?! Mark freaked out inside.
Junhoe smirked seeing Mark wasn’t happy with what he just heard. Being her bestfriend, he knew he was already a step further than him.
The boys came in a few minutes after then the students went respectively to their buses and went to their next location. Yesterday, they toured around some of the famous tourist spots around Namyangju. Today, they were tasked to play games that are played by group to improve their cooperation and communication skills.
“Volleyball? Seriously?” Haeryung asked with annoyance in her tone.
“Come on, it isn’t that bad. It’s not like dancing is not a physical activity. We do that almost every day.” Hyejeong told her.
“Easy for you to say. You’re tall and quite athletic. Ugh!” Haeryung groaned causin Eunyoung and Haeryung to laugh.
Not all were forced to play the game. They divided the students into two groups and the players would switch so that the others would be given a chance to play.
Eunyoung played in the first round and she did quite okay. She scored 4 points for her team and was consistent with her serving. As soon as, the first round was done, Mark handed her a bottle of energy drink but Junhoe stopped him.
“She prefers water.” He smiled and gave her a bottle of water.
Without saying anything, Eunyoung took the energy drink and drank it.
Junhoe’s eyes widened seeing she took the drink Mark offered her instead of taking the bottle of water he was offering.
Mark smiled coyly at him and shrugged his shoulder. That definitely earned a glare from the sassy Junhoe.
“Is it just me or this competition isn’t just about volleyball?” Haeryung asked Hyejeong.
“You’re right. This is beyond volleyball.” Hyejeong answered.
“Now which game is much more intense?” Hanbin, who was just standing beside them, asked.
“Definitely the one with the water and energy drink.” JB answered coming from their back.
The girls were shocked with their sudden responses. They didn’t even notice both grou
