Chapter 22 Love Rides The Rain-CNBLUE Lie-CNBLUE Paper Heart-f(x) ‘Yes baby.’ a reply from Minho to Sulli. Sulli is at a cafe on a mid-afternoon remedy with a person. She smiled for awhile with the message she received but immediately frowned to the thought that she will be seeing with a guy she once liked but now truly is now just a friend. For seven minutes she’s been waiting. She thought to herself that Minho just wouldn’t do that. He will always be the first one to arrive and she will always be the one to say sorry for being late. Sulli stares deeply outside the window close to her seat, currently spacing out. She doesn’t know how to end it with this guy, yet she knows how intensely she needs to. Sulli lied to Minho about already breaking up with this guy, but in fact, she really intends to do so. Sulli is filled with an excruciating fear on the course of her waiting. The doorbell from the entrance rang and woke Sulli up from her deep thinking. It is her intuition that says it is him and so she is right. She stood up to be seen and out of etiquette. The guy walked towards Sulli as soon as he’s seen her. Too close, he stopped for a friendly kiss on the cheek and the both of them took their seats adjacent to each other. He greeted Sulli, “I bet you missed me that you called in for a tea.” Sulli can’t react accordingly that she only managed to force a smile. No, she doesn’t detest the guy because after all he is a good friend and was someone special to her. Now that Sulli got into her realization of what was she thinking when the two of them started dating, she uttered straight-forwardly, “Oppa, let’s be friends.” Sulli looked at him in the eyes and saw the surprise in his face. His eyebrows met in confusion, “What do you mean. We are friends and very special at that.” “That is the thing. I only want to be friends.” “What are you saying Sulli?” Sulli tugged her hand away from the table as the guy was about to reach for it, “I don’t want to be romantically involved with you anymore.” The guy’s face wrinkled more of what he heard, “Did I do something wrong?” “No, you didn’t do anything wrong.” “Then, why? The last time I know, the two of us are happy and now you are breaking up with me.” Sulli paused for some seconds to collect herself and answered, “Look here, oppa. I’m not sure that what I was feeling for you was real. I think I just got deceived by your wits and kindness but you are not someone who can make me happy in a way that I will fall in love. I like being with you alright, but only as good friends not lovers” Sulli’s fingers are cold but she is relieved though the guy is still sitting mouth agape. “What made you realize this now? Is there someone else? Is it the reason you are absurdly telling me all this?” Sulli didn’t know what to say because she doesn’t want Minho to get caught with a fight with him. Her eyes roamed around looking for what to reply. Should she tell him? Or lie repeatedly? Sulli took a deep inhale, “Yes, there is and I love him so much”. And as expected, the guy asked who is she referring to. Sulli wasn’t answering him for seconds which made him even irritated, annoyed and mad. He heard Sulli’s mobile phone ring which he presumes someone is calling. He has an instinct that it is Sulli’s new love. And he confirmed it with Sulli’s shocked expression as she checked who is calling. The guy asked Sulli, “Is that him?”. Sulli looked at him, she doesn’t know what to do. She felt weak and her heart is pounding so fast. Sulli is so tensed and nervous she didn’t know the guy got up in his seat and walked towards her and grabbed her cellphone. Sulli’s eyes got big. Before she even tried to retrieve her phone it is already too late. The guy chuckled out of disbelief when he saw Choi Minho is the one calling. He was filled with insecurity and betrayal. For no relevant reasons he answered Minho’s call while he ignored Sulli’s incessant pleads. Sulli cannot hear what Minho said but can definitely hear what the guy is saying. She’s frustrated for she can’t do anything but sit there.
