“What are you so afraid of?” he asked her. There were so many reasons to be afraid.

Honestly, him. She was scared of changing, of losing, and falling. She was so afraid of the way he made her feel. Just when she thought she had lost all hopes for love, he had come in and changed that. And God did it terrify her.

But she wanted/needed him. And boy did she love him. She would get there, with time.

All she needed was some time to trust. All he needed was some patience for the long years ahead of them.
