Around late 2012

What should I eat today…Ramyun or Kimbap..? I had Ramyun for morning, so Kimbap maybe?..

Song Mino was having dilemma choosing between Ramyun and Kimbap as he headed over to the department store to buy his dinner

It was when he was having these thoughts that a girl came running towards him. She looked around and went to hide behind a advertisement board. It was only then that she noticed his presence there. She looked at him pleadingly, and he understood why when large number of people came running there just that moment.

They looked here and there, as if searching for her.

“Excuse me, have you seen someone run pass here?” a guy asked.

“Aah, she went that way. “ Mino pointed to opposite direction, and they all ran away that way.

Making sure that they were out of sight, he signaled her to come out from the hiding place

“Thank you so much! I owe you one!” she gave him a smile

“You are welcome Sung Shiwon sshi. It never feels good to be mobbed in public. What were you doing without your manager anyway?”

“Aah, so you recognized me too..I am not used to getting recognized by people yet. And I don’t have any makeup on, so I thought they wouldn’t recognize me.. I thought too naively though.” She sighed

“People can recognize from your satoori and smile alone, Eunji ah.” He chuckled

“Is that so? And don’t you think I’m at disadvantage here? I don’t even know your name.”

“Aah. I’m Song Mino. And we are same age, so you can talk comfortably.”

“All right then. Mino ya, do you have some time?” Eunji asked him

“I just finished my part time job, so I’m free for now. Though I’m a bit hungry.” He added, although he was surprised by the question

“Then can you help me out? I was actually going to shop a birthday gift for my younger brother when I got mobbed by my fans. And I’ll treat you to dinner after that. Deal?”

“Deal. I also know a good shop around corner where there aren’t much people. You can ship in ease there.”

“Eunji ya!!” A man came running to their direction

“Damn.. I had totally forgotten about him..”

Mino raised his eyebrows as if to ask ‘who is he?’

Eunji just shook her head

“Ya, shouldn’t you tell me before you run off? I searched for you everywhere!”

“Mian oppa. I was just looking at the display when I got mobbed by fans..”

“And who is this?” manager nodded to Mino

“Annyeonghaseyo. Song Mino imida!” he bowed politely

“He’s my friend. He’s going to help me shop so you can wait for me at the car, oppa.”

“Ya..even though he’s your friend, how can I trust him? “ manager asked directly

“Oppa!” Eunji protested at the blatant insult

“All right. You know I am the one who have to answer to your CEO right? Since Eunji doesn’t have a phone,  at least give me your number then.” He requested Mino

“Neeh.” Mino obliged as he punched in his number in manager’s phone

“Oppa, I’ll bring you back dinner. So enjoy some free time!” Eunji waved to manager as she walked off with Mino

“I’m sorry about my manager, Mino ya.” She apologized

“Why are you apologizing though? You should be more careful. How can you trust me so easily?”

“I have pretty good eyes on choosing people to trust. Besides you saved me earlier. And I’m pretty strong.” She mimicked some karate moves, making Mino laugh out loud

They entered a cozy looking store where they were greeted by the employer. He recognized Eunji instantly, and Eunji signed autograph for them in the shop

They chose a gift together, and headed to restaurant nearby

After ordering meat and takeaway, they sat down at the corner

“Here.” Eunji handed Mino a phone strap with mike at the end

“What is this for?” he took it curiously

“This is for coming with me today. You helped a lot. I autographed it, so you can give it to others if you don’t feel like keeping it.”

“Thanks. “ he said as he played with the strap with smile on his face

“I was getting tired of celebrity treatment, as I’m new to it. Mino ya, gomawo~ for treating me like a normal friend.” She gave her trademark eyesmile, and Mino couldn’t help returning the smile.
