Blockbusted (Part Three)
Order of the Wolf: ReformationHansol sat impatiently on the white couch waiting for Sehyuk to speak. Yano decided to pull the fire alarm at the hospital so that Xero could get Hansol out during the confusion without using any magic. Hopefully his mother wouldn’t worry about him too much…
Now they were all in the hideout, preparing for the most dangerous thing they’d ever have to do.
“Alright guys, I know this is not what any of you had in mind when you joined the order, but the fact is… times have changed. We’ve been put on the ropes and that has made us very desperate. Now we’re being forced to stand and fight; not only to preserve our own existence, but to ensure the safety of billions of people. I’m gonna be completely honest with you guys… the odds are not in our favor here, and we might not make it back in one piece… or at all. But one thing’s for sure; if we’re going down, we’re going down swinging,” Sehyuk spoke loudly and sternly. Hansol was impressed by his speech and Byungjoo wiped a tear.
“You okay?” Hansol whispered. Byungjoo nodded and turned to face Kidoh and Jimin who were taping a large map to the wall.
“This is a map of the Blockbuster Headquarters that we drew up based on Jiwon’s description. According to the file, the foggers are here, here, and here. The smartest thing to do would be to split into three teams and take them down,” Kidoh said.
“Team one: Hansol, Xero, Sehyuk, and Yano. Team Two: Byungjoo, Jenissi, Sangdo, Kidoh, Nakta and Sanggyun. Team Three: Hojoon, Gohn, Seogoong, Jungkook, Taehyung, and myself,” Jimin explained.
“What about me?” Jiwon asked.
“Well since you’re apparently a super powerful shape shifter, we’ll need you to draw as much attention as possible to give us a better chance of taking down the foggers,”
“So… I’m a target?”
“I wouldn’t say ‘target’… more like useless distraction,” Jenissi snapped. Jiwon rolled his eyes.
“Enough. Let’s get going,” Sehyuk said.
“Everyone hold hands and I can teleport us there without the wizards’ magic,” Jimin offered. Everyone did as they were told and with a large puff of smoke, they were gone.
A light rain coated the area as the group appeared behind one of the buildings. The headquarters seemed to be located deep in the forest, although a large portion of it had been cleared out.
“Alright guys, you know the plan. Good luck everyone,” Sehyuk said as the group split up. Hansol tried his best to keep up with the others, but they were all much faster than him.
“Hey, who are those kids!?” shouted one of the guards.
“Shoot first, ask questions later!”
Showtime. Hansol could hear Yano’s bones shifting and changing as Xero threw up a force field to protect them from the gunfire. Seconds later, Yano was a golden lion, roaring fiercely at their attackers. Hansol used the attraction spell to magnetize the guards’ weapons, sending them flying out of their hands and clashing together in midair.
“Keep moving!” Sehyuk ordered. They could hear gunshots and small explosions echoing from all over the place. Hansol tried his best not to worry about Byungjoo as they approached the enormous machine in front of them.
It was much bigger than they had imagined. It looked almost like a flying saucer with giant vents on each side. Yano didn’t waste a single moment. He leapt up onto the fogger and slashed it mercilessly with his claws, sending chunks of metal flying in all directions. Sehyuk shot a fire ball into one of the vents, melting it instantly. After both vents were destroyed, Yano jumped down off the fogger and Xero smirked.
“You wanna do the honors Hansol, or shall I?” he asked.
“Go right ahead,” Hansol replied. Xero raised his hands to the sky and a white hot lightning bolt ripped down from the clouds and zapped the machine. Hansol created a force field around it to contain the explosion.
“Well isn’t this surprising… didn’t I shoot you?”
Hansol turned around and his entire body was filled with rage. Jaehyo was standing there with two other guys, each holding a high tech rifle.
“We’re putting a stop to this,” Hansol said, glaring at Jaehyo.
“Really? You think destroying the foggers will be enough? You always were a bunch of stupid kids. Minhyuk, Yukwon, get rid of them will you?”
As the two lackeys fired, Xero put up another force field… but it failed. The bullets weren’t normal; they were charged with some kind of red energy. They tore right through the force field and hit him in the chest. Blood leaked from the corner of his mouth as he dropped to the ground.
“XERO!” Hansol shrieked. Thunder roared and the wind picked up immensely, obscuring everyone’s view. Hansol’s eyes began to glow white as he felt a massive surge of power. He turned and locked eyes with Jaehyo, who couldn’t even speak due to pure terror. Hansol opened his hand and Minhyuk and Yukwon’s rifles were reduced to ash. With the flick of his wrist, they were sent flying across the open area. Jaehyo backed up cautiously as Hansol approached hm.
“S-stay away from me you freak!”
“Hansol, don’t do it! Do not kill him!” Sehyuk ordered. But Hansol was gone… all that was left was raw emotion. As he rose his hand to wipe Jaehyo from the face of the earth, a voice echoed in his mind.
“Hansol… its Jin. Don’t do this. If you do, you’re no better than him,”
The wind gradually slowed to a stop as Hansol’s eyes ceased to glow. Jaehyo breathed a sigh of relief before pulling a gun from his waist. There was a loud clank of metal as Jiwon, now made of what looked like titanium, hit him in the head.
“You’re welcome,” he said before running off to fight more guards. Hansol didn’t reply, he rushed over to Xero who was struggling to breathe.
“Hansol… I don’t know if I’m gonna make it,” he said softly. The fear was evident in his eyes, but his voice remained calm.
“Don’t say things like that Xero! You’re going to be fine okay? Okay!?” Hansol hysterically shouted. Xero grabbed his hand.
“Listen to me… Hansol, I love you,” he said with one final smile before his eyes fluttered closed. His breathing slowed, and then stopped.
“Xero? XERO!? Please don’t do this to me, don’t go Xero! I LOVE YOU TOO OKAY! THERE I ADMITTED IT, NOW PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME!” Hansol shrieked. The rain poured as Hansol continued to scream. Sehyuk kneeled beside him and pulled him into a hug as the sounds of war continued around them.
