The room was filled with sounds of heavy breathing as Luhan looked up at Sehun. They weren't vocally speaking but they were conversing through their eyes. Confessions of their love and promises of forever passed before them, all unspoken. This is what Luhan had been wanting since he first fell in love with the younger boy he was now staring up at.

            He watched as Sehun's cheeks flushed and the vein in his neck started to twitch as his heart sped up. His own heart leapt when they made eye contact once more. More words pouring into the small space between them but nothing spoken. Sehun smiled and shifted to the side so he could lay there and rest with his lover. Bodies still tangled and heat still radiated as they came down from their earlier high. Luhan leaned over and kissed Sehun once lightly on the lips and then slowly trailed his way down the jaw to the base of Sehun's neck. Sehun turned his head to the side and his breath hitched, coming in short pants.

"Luhan," he breathed. The older boy found satisfaction in the way the younger said his name. He began making his way down south leaving light, teasing kisses trailing down Sehun's body. He placed his hands on the younger's waist and could feel Sehun’s arousal just a bit further down against his own stomach. Luhan smirked and began leaving feather light kisses on Sehun's lower abdomen.

"Luhan!" The voice was a little louder this time. It was almost yelling at him. Luhan was just about to look up and see that beautiful face-

"Luhan hyung! Come on! We're going to be late!" An arm reached out and grabbed Luhan's shoulder pulling him around in the chair. He was disoriented for a second but then looked up at Sehun, face annoyed as per usual. No sign of the love Luhan had just thought he'd seen. No secrets to spill, no loving whispers, nothing but this angst-y looking child standing in front of him.

"W-what?” Luhan couldn't help but feel vulnerable. He was looking at this creature in front of him that he swore was just laying on that bed with him and they were about to-

"What are you doing? We're going to be late if you don't come on." Sehun's eyes flickered to the screen just behind him. Luhan became a little more aware of his surroundings and panicked. He leapt up from his seat and threw himself in front of the screen, pushing the younger across the small room.

"It's none of your business what I was doing Sehun. Besides it was nothing important."

"It must have been something. You were like, in a trance or something. I swear you were drooling." The younger laughed. The small smile Sehun had played across those beauti- No. Bad! Bad!

Luhan felt embarrassed. Only Yifan and Yixing knew he read these things on the internet. The fans called them fan fictions. They'd all agreed a long time ago they wouldn't read them but he couldn't help himself. He read only a few of them involving Sehun and himself but they were kind of on track with what he’d been actually feeling himself, though he’d never admit that to the younger.

“I-it was something a fan wrote. Don’t tell anyone.” He felt kind of ashamed. They’d agreed not to read them but here he was and he was caught by the youngest himself.

“Why waste your time on those hyung? They’re just spinoffs of anime. Boy meets girl; boy falls in love with girl; girl doesn’t like him. New boy comes to town. Girl falls in love with new boy, old boy is heartbroken. New boy falls for old boy, old boy falls for new boy, but wait,”

He held up his hands and raised his brow.

“New boy has a secret! He’s actually some kind of wolf shape shifter and runs through the town at night howling at the moon.” He was playing out his little exaggerated act. Luhan thought it was cute. Sehun grabbed his chest and sighed as he fell back on the bed dramatically.

“They can never be together because it’s too dangerous for them to love the other. In the end one dies and the other can’t live any longer. The end. Most of them are like that and you know it.” He looked up at Luhan, smirk lingering at the edge of his mouth. He couldn’t help but notice the way Luhan was looking at him. He felt embarrassed with the look he was receiving him and had to look away. Sehun had noticed the way Luhan looked at him sometimes but he thought nothing of it. Only Luhan himself knew how he felt about Sehun and even then, he wasn’t so sure.

“Hyung,” Sehun cleared his throat. “We really need to get going.”

Luhan nodded in agreement and grabbed his bag as Sehun stood up. There was a moment of awkward silence as both boys were thinking of what to say next. The silence was broken by a tap on the door frame. It was Joonmyun.

“Hey guys. I know you’re all ready and such but manager hyung just came in and said you two don’t have to go to the press conference. Tao, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Jongin, and Kyungsoo aren’t going either. They don’t have enough seats and mics.” The man rolled his eyes. “Have fun on your day off, lucky ducks.” With that, he turned and walked out leaving the two boys in the silence once again.

Luhan put his bag back down and looked at Sehun who was staring at the doorway after Joonmyun.

“Let’s go see what everyone else has planned, shall we?” Luhan asked grabbing Sehun’s attention. The latter looked over at him and nodded. Luhan felt his heart do a little dance as he turned for the door. He hoped the younger didn’t notice the blush creeping up into his cheeks.

Once out in the main room, they were just able to see Yixing turning to close the door as the rest of the members left for the schedule. Jongin was sitting on the couch with Kyungsoo’s head lying on his lap, both boys looking at the other lovingly. Baekhyun and Chanyeol were playing some racing game on the xbox, and Tao was watching their cars crash into each other in big fiery mounds of carnage.

Jongin looked up when Luhan and Sehun walked in. He smiled at them. “You got the day off too, huh?”

“Yep. What are we going to do today?” Luhan asked trying to make conversation.

“Well Jongin and I were going to go shopping after breakfast.” Kyungsoo offered.

“And Channie and I were going to go with Tao to the training room. He’s going to show me some new kicking techniques.” Baekhyun said smiling at the thought of being a badass martial artist. Chanyeol ruffled his hair, smiling at the cutie before him and they went back to their game.

“You’re more than welcome to come with us.” Jongin said, petting Kyungsoo’s hair.

“Why would I want to look at you two gawking at each other all day? Third wheel? I don’t think so.” It was Sehun who answered.

Luhan couldn’t help but smile. He didn’t like the thought of being the third wheel either. He’d made that mistake only once; right after the ‘Kaisoo’ couple became the real deal. They went to the zoo. The only animals he saw were Kaisoo themselves. You could have thought they belonged in the monkey habitat because they were hanging all over one another and couldn’t be separated for dear life. They’d eased up a little since then but they were just too in love to care about anything else.

“No thanks. I think I’ll just stay home today then. Maybe catch up on some sleep.”

“You mean finish reading those fan stories.” Sehun was looking at him. He could feel Sehun's eyes burning into his head. Jongin and Kyungsoo were looking at him as well. He felt the heat creeping up into his cheeks once more.

“You read those? I thought we agreed not to, ge?” It was Tao who asked. The poor naive child was looking at him like he’d just beaten a puppy.

“Yes I read them, okay? Now everyone knows! The six of you and Kris and Yixing and the whole ing world knows I read them. It’s not like I talk about it so it’s no one’s damn business what I do. I am an adult and I can do as I please.” He stomped back to his room.

He made sure to slam the door a little harder than was necessary to get his point across. He flopped down on his bed face first. He should never have told Sehun. The obedient little maknae. He should have made up some excuse. Tell him he was watching or something. He sighed and rubbed his face. He didn’t mean to get so worked up but it was none of their business and honestly, he was probably taking his anger out on Sehun for not realising the feelings he had for the younger. Though he wasn't even sure how he felt himself.

After a long while, there was a knock at the door and Luhan yelled a ‘go away’ but the person on the other side didn’t care about his request. The door opened with too much force and Luhan was about to turn around and scold the dongsaeng who dared disobey but stopped short when he looked up to see Sehun standing in the doorway.

“What do y-“

“No!” he was interrupted by an angry Sehun.

“You are not going to start. Look, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or tell your little secret but we had a deal and you broke it. What I said was a joke. The others aren't mad at you anyway.”

Luhan was dumbfounded with the assertive attitude the younger was giving him.

“Who the do you think you’re talking to like that? I’m your hyung. Your Ge. I’m older than you. You don’t talk to me like that.”

“Oh bull you know you don’t use that anymore. We’re friends. Remember? Friends don’t need to talk so formally.”

“Sehun!” He sat up. Luhan’s anger was skyrocketing. He’s one of the silent but deadly types. If Luhan hints that he’s getting angry, you back down. Only on rare occasions have the EXO members even seen him mad and he was worked up with himself before Sehun decided to get all tough. When did our little baby become so manly? He thought to himself.

“I-I’m sorry.” Sehun mummbled.

“What?” Luhan snapped

“I said I’m sorry! Ge, I didn’t mean to make you mad or disrespect you but you’ve been acting weird lately!” Sehun’s voice cracked at the end of his sentence. Luhan’s heart fluttered a little and he had to look away from Sehun.

            He could hear hurt in Sehun's voice and it made him feel hurt and ashamed and any other type of guilty emotion that could be plastered over that. Sehun was staring at the floor while Luhan was spacing out, looking at the wall. This went on for several short moments before Sehun spoke again.

"What was it about?" His voice almost inaudible.

"What?" Luhan was brought back to reality for a second.

"What was the story about? I mean you were reading it and looking kind of, I don't know, happy? You were smiling and it wasn't a stage smile."

            Luhan's heart must have been running a marathon because it tripped up again. Sehun had just said he noticed his different smiles. None of the other members had addressed this. On stage Luhan was always smiling to make the fans happy. It was an act. Sure, he was happy, but it was always a little exaggerated when it came to fan events. At the dorm though. That's a different story. Yeah, a lot of smiles are the same when it comes to Luhan and only those who really pay attention could tell when he was genuinely happy or just smiling to make the situation better. Sehun noticed him. He noticed the difference between his exaggerated. jaw hanging open, laughing smile, and his eye crinkling, mouth gaping, laughing smile. They were really essentially the same. Not even Minseok, who was considered his best friend, had noticed the difference. Luhan himself can't even really explain how they are different unless he was feeling different. But Sehun noticed.
