"Dear Diary,

It's Saturday, December 24th 1999. It's Christmas Eve! I'm really excited about what I'll get tomorrow! Hopefully mommy can get off work early so we can celebrate Christmas together with Daddy. I saved up all my money and bought my mom a pair of earings and I will give my dad enough money to buy a lottery ticket. He believes that one day he will win something big! I hope he does, so mom doesn't have to be working all the time and so he can get his medication and fix his car because his job depends on it. I hope the angles can help us. I'm kinda tired now. It's almost 11 pm, waay past my bed time. Talk to you tomorrow Diary!! Thanks for being there for me my one and only friend!
