In the last episode we witnessed a shocking change of character as Ren sought Minhyun in an alliance against the looming thread of JR. What will Minhyun’s reply be?
_____
“No. No I won’t do that.”
“Beg pardon?”
“I don’t want to get back at JR. I love him. I don’t see why there’s even a problem, you clearly don’t like him anymore, well, I still do. I love him, you don’t, there’s no one left to stand in the way of him and I having a beautiful relationship from here on out. Just inform him you know, and that’s the end of it,” Minhyun’s gaze was firm and steely, as though he really felt what he was doing was the right choice. Because staying in love with a cheater was always the best way to go.
Clearly the orange juice was giving him confidence he didn’t normally possess. I snatched the glass from his hand, taking a deep breath in the process,
“Why don’t you take a bit to think about it,” I tried to be pleasant, probably failed, judging by Minhyun’s frown. Never give this boy orange juice. It gives him a spine. I had fully expected to be able to bully my way into his good graces, but Minhyun was certainly surprising me.
“I don’t need time to think, Ren. I know what I want – and I don’t think you do. JR and I can be happy,” but was that a small falter in his gaze I saw there? I knew Minhyun couldn’t possibly be truly serious, he wasn’t as naïve and stupid as he appeared. Do you see this, readers? Do you see how this works? Give a boy orange juice and he thinks he’s a man! Please feel for me TT.TT
What does one do when their perfect plan has utterly failed? Well, if you are me (which, like, you soooo should be) you turn on your fabulous little heel and strut away to work on a blog post. Revisit the BTS Boy In Luv review and see if you can’t…sense the underlying discontent there. Sorry.
I needed to regroup. I needed a revised plan. I needed…Baekho. Baekho was good at breaking up relationships! He could surely help me in destroying Jmin
Sorry for the spazzing there, anyways, back to the story. Minmin. Just sayin’. Anyways! Off I went on my merry way to find my best friend.
“YEBOW!!!” I sang as I waltzed into his room, watching as Aron instantly took this as his cue to run away from the crazy girly member. Baekho only rolled his eyes as he sat back, away from his computer screen, looking me up and down,
“What is it, pabo? And don’t you think your boyfriend’s going to be upset with the terms of endearment?” Baekho quirked an eyebrow and I sniffed haughtily,
“That’s actually what I would like to discuss with you,” I closed the door, clicking the lock as I moved towards him conspiratorially. Baekho had the good sense to back away, he had known me long enough to tell my ‘devious’ face from my ‘sweet and innocent’ face. For the record there really wasn’t that much of a difference between the two…
“JR and I broke up – well, no, I guess that’s incorrect. We’re still together, for now, but he cheated on me! With Minhyun, so I need your help,” I rushed out quickly, pouncing on him and burying my head in his shoulder,
“Minki….what?” he asked in confusion, hand going to gently pet my hair as he often did. Don’t misunderstand, there really isn’t much between us. Essentially he treats me like a lovable pet cat, and I have absolutely no complaints.
“JR cheated on me!” I whined, “This is old news! I want revenge, reeeeveeeeegeeee! And I need your help because Minhyun’s an idiot and completely bailed on meeee!”
“JR cheated on you? Where is the motherfuc—“
“BAEKHO! Bad language! Don’t make me put soap in your mouth!”
“Oh come on, Ren, seriously,” Baekho rolled his eyes, “But is it true? Really true? You’re not just overreacting to some fanservice or something, are you?”
“I don’t think so, Baekho, they weren’t wearing anything and there were in…in you know compromising positions,” I could feel myself blushing, cheeks turning pink. Baekho patted my back gently,
“Awww…That’s terrible – and with Minhyun? He seems so…innocent. Not as much as you, but he’s got the same vibe.”
“He is innocent, Baekho. All too much so, he thinks, for some reason, that JR is a good guy, and that he just meant more to JR than I did. I guess Minhyun’s never read the romance novels, a guy who cheats just cheats again. It doesn’t change,” I mumbled miserably,
“Boy you have a lot more to say about Minhyun than JR,” Baekho murmured and I frowned, wondering what that was supposed to me, “I’m not sure you’re correct about that, I cheated once. Never did it again, worst experience of my life –“
“That’s just it Baekho! We need to beat the cheater out of JR! Revenge! I need your help!”
“Rennnnn,” Baekho groaned, “Why do you always have to be so dramatic? Gosh, you’re a sweet kid, but you jump to such conclusions. You thought you were in love with JR the first moment you set eyes on him. Ren, if you are, after only a few days, fairly well over him, you never w
