Description

The Korean Peninsula, the place everyone had turned their gazes to almost yearly due to skirmishes started by the pettiest of things, remained virtrually war free since the signing of the 1953 armistice agreement. While people would constantly cite the words of the militaristic North as reasons to go to war, their Southern brothers kept to themselves and ignored it. It wasn't until their great leader Kim Jong Il passed away and turned the power over to his young son Kim Jong Eun that things made a turn for the worse. With a newfound thirst for Southern blood, the newly formed War Council declares they will no longer 'bear the weight of their fathers and end the rule of the Western devils and take back their lost lands in the South.'

One day upon helping one of her commanding officers defect and go to the aid of his Southern brothers, Seo Joohyun finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy that changes her life forever. Abandoned by her family, devoid of any friends, and most importantly, thirsty for the blood of those that took the life of the one person that she admired in the world, she sets out to right the wrongs of the people she believes are the source of all of her misery. Cold and unemotional, she has no place in her heart for mercy, much less uesless things like love.

Jung Yonghwa is a South Korean young man that holds one of the most important titles of the current times in the Republic of Korea. He is one of the few directors of the NIS, South Korea's equivalent to the CIA or FBI. Having been scarred both physically and mentally in the past by the North, he is a staunch defender of the democratic ideals he was brought up with. Hesitation is something he does not exhibit when it comes to matters of national security. Sadly enough the confidence he shows in the workplace, doesn't transfer over to his love life. Being what most would call a 'loser,' he finds himself lonely and desperately chasing after the love of his life whom he has loved since he was just a child.

One day these two cross paths without knowing who they are or what their ideals are. When Seohyun finds herself needing Yonghwa's help in order to save her own skin and the honor of her people, she decides to do whatever it takes to use him to get what she wants. Yonghwa, believing she is just an everyday woman of no importance allows her to slowly enter his life but thinks nothing of it. Will Seohyun be able to complete her goals without turning Yonghwa into the enemy or will she have to eventually draw a knife to his neck to one of the few people she allowed herself to get close to? Will Yonghwa find it in him to forgive the friend he believed to be by his side in his fight against the bloodthirsty North or will he find himself pointing his gun at her head?

Foreword

Hey hey everyone! So here I am again starting yet another story. I actually had the first chapter of this written waaaaaaaaay back but I never could get around to working out all the details and holes in the plot. I will work on the chapters dilligently and give you guys a story you all deserve. I can't promise consistent updates, but I'm sure I will get around to updating as time goes by.

Forgive my long description. I tend to ramble and keep writing if I get started at all hehe.

As for the story, I've always wanted to write a story that had a little bit of action and things of the sort. I especially have been wanting to write a whole North/South affair story since it seems to be a very big idea that really isn't touched upon here on AFF. I look forward to writing it a lot. I will try my hardest to keep the chapters on the shorter side compared to my other stories. I will also try to cut out the useless rambling I do and develop side characters a lot more. I will also try my hardest to not have so much "makjang," or just crazy unbelievable drama cliches I tend to have haha.

Anyways, enough ranting from me. See what'd I tell ya? When I rant, I really rant. Happy reading!!
