It was New Years Eve and you were in your bed since you have no plans. Even your boyfriend went out with your brother instead.

 

-flashback-

Baekhyun is a year older than you. You felt for him when Chanyeol brought him home for the first time. It was like love at first sight. In school you were hiding from your brother who is chasing you because you didn’t woke him up for school and he got detention for coming to school late. You ran into the music department.

When you realize you have lost him, you walked further down the halls. Is like a desert here. There no one here. Then you heard a faint melody and you were curious and scared the same time. Who wouldn’t be?

You followed the melody trying to figure out where it leads you too. Once the melody got louder, it was from a piano room. You try to peek and you saw Chanyeol’s friend a.k.a your crush.  You were surprised that he can play paino very well.

You really felt for him hard from that day but sadly he treats you as a little sister. You hated it whenever he puts his hand over your shoulder your brother will be on a defence mode. You rolled you eyes and put your arm around Baekhyun’s waist and joked to Chanyeol saying Baekhyun is your brother too. Chanyeol acted as if he was hurt. You and Baekhyun just laughed and walked away from him.

You were fine with the brother-sister relationship. He will greet you and he will playfully ruffle your hair. You couldn’t help but blush every time he have some skin ship with you but the same time it hurts to know is a one sided love. Then he will walk you to class because he wanted to greet his dongsaeng Sehun & kai who’s your classmate too.

As months goes by, you noticed that Baekhyun wasn’t around much as he use too. You thought it was because is their senior year and their busy but then chanyeol wasn’t that busy. His just watching tv the whole day. The week passed slowly because baekhyun wasn’t around you. Whenever you see him in school you called him. He will look up and smile then he will disappear to somewhere else. You blinked twice to adjust what just happen.

You were upset with him, is like his avoiding you. When you got back home, Chanyeol was already on the couch watching tv. You greeted him walk towards the stairs and stopped when you heard what chanyeol asked.

“Did you do something wrong to Baek? Haeri.”

“Why would you ask that?”

“Well I asked him to come over for some video game; he asked if you are home. I say you will be then he maybe next time. I was wondering that’s all”

“He is avoiding me..” you mumble

“What?”

“Nothing. We didn’t fight or anything”

“Haeri, you know you can tell oppa if something happen-----“

He was cut off by you running upstairs. You ran to your room and shut the door. You putted you bag on the chair and threw yourself on the bed. You were just thinking. What did you do wrong? Nothing came to mind. You bathe and went to bed. When it was dinner time you ate a little and went back to your room.

In school everyone notice your sad aura around you. You were at your locker during break time when suddenly someone jumped on you. “Hey Kiddo! How have you been?” You knew that voice. The person that is trying to avoid you all week long! You got all angry and pushed him off. “Get away Baek” you closed your locker “I need to get to class” You said quietly and walked away. He was shocked. He ran towards you and grabbed you arm. “Haeri…” “Go away Baek” Baekhyun notice your sad tone and the stares from other people.

He let go of you arm. To be honest you were disappointed but that’s what you wanted. You were angry that he avoid you and suddenly talk to you like nothing happened. It hurts to be ignored especially the one you love for a long time. You were about to walk away but he grabbed your hand and lead you towards a desolated area. You try to free yourself but he held your hand tighter and that makes your heart flutters.

Once both of you reach the desolated area, he let go of your hand. He loosens his tie and stands in front of you.

“What’s wrong Haeri?” he asked

You looked at him. Like is he serious. He avoid me and he dares to ask me what wrong.

“Arent you gonna tell me?”

“Is nothing” You were looking at the floor with your head down.

“Are you sure? Your making me worried”

You laughed at his words. He looked at you like you’re out of your mind.

“Haeri, are sure your okay?”

“You know what’s funny?” You said with a shaky voice in the urge to cry

“One moment you’re all sweet talk and friendly and another moment you’re avoiding me.” You said and he dropped his hand. “I’m not a toy baek! I have feelings too! It hurst so much to see you disappear right in front of my eyes.” You were crying when you let out those words that have been hiding. “Even chanyeol think I did something wrong when you rejected his video game offer. Why am I the bad guy when it actually you! I don’t even know why I liked you.” You stopped and eyes widen at your words. You didn’t dare to look up. “You what?” he asked. You wiped your tears “I’m have to go.” You quickly turn around and walked. Baekhyun grabbed your hand before you can run. He turned you around and lifted you head up. You avoided eye contact with him and you suddenly felt his lips against yours. You were shocked so you looked at him. When he pulls away you blushed.

He chuckled. “I’m sorry if I made you sad” He wiped your tears away with his thumb. “Is just if whenever I was with you my heart just kept on pumping very fast I thought it might come out. I thought if I say away for a while the feeling will be gone but I long for you. I couldn’t help but miss you. I even asked JongIn for some help. He told me to man up and confess. I was so nervous when I was approaching you and it hurt me when you pushed me away.” He confesses while staring at you. You blushed and looked away. Baekhyun pulls you face back to him and kissed you again. You close your eyes and returned the kiss. He pulls away and places his forehead against yours. “Will you be my girlfriend?” “What if I say no?” “I kiss you till you give in.” then get gave you a peck on the lips. You laughed and nodded you head. “Yes.” He smiled and kisses you again.

You kept texting Baekhyun but he isn’t replying you. You sighed and looked decided to go out and eat. You dressed warmly and you were about to head out when your door bell rang. You opened the door and you were surprise.

“Oh, you’re dressed. Good. Let go” He said and grabbed your hand. He locked the door for you.

“Oppa, where are we going?” you asked

“We my dear, are going on a date!” he said

“But I thought you were with Cha---“ he cuts you off with a kiss.

“I was and what kind of boyfriend am I if I go out with my best friend and leave his girlfriend alone at home on New Year’s Eve. Now less talking and let’s walk.” He smiled and pulls you in his arm. You hugged his waist.

After a fun date at Hongdae Baekhyun lead the way and you realize that you were in one of Baek & Chanyeol’s friend’s neighbourhood. Suho Oppa’s neighbourhood! Gangnam.

“Oppa are we going to Suho oppa’s house?”

“Yes!”

“But—“he shushes you before you can ask more.

You both walked up the door and rang it. You were expecting Suho to greet you but Sehun the maknae who greeted you. “Noona!” “Hey Sehunnie” Bakehyun took off your coat and hung it at the coat closet. You walked around the house and you notice the whole house were silent. You were curious so you walked towards the kitchen you saw the back door were open. You walk there and saw lantern was placed by the side of the pathway towards the garden. As you walk up the pathway and you came to view of Baekhyun wearing this tux’s with a bouquet of white roses standing at the end of the lined-up lamp lights. And the other members weren’t there. What stunned you is the view of the garden is a breath taking sight.

You walked up towards baekhyun. He gave you the roses and he kissed you. “Happy New Year Eve” and the fireworks were lighted in the sky.  You smiled and wished him back. He kissed you again and pulls away when someone shouted.

“Happy New Year!” Sehun shouted

And the mood was broken. You chuckled and wished everyone Happy New Year. You watch the firework while Baekhyun back hugged you and watches along.

“So you were doing this behind my back.”

“Yes. I have to lie to your brother so he won’t be a party pooper. we all know he can’t keep secrets. “He said and kissed your head.

“Is beautiful Oppa”

“It took me a long week to make this up.”

“Thank you Oppa.”

“Welcome babe”

With that they enjoyed the fireworks and may their year be successful.
