From My Best Friend

"Daisy," One of my kindergarden friends called "Forget about it! It's gone, hurry up! We've gotta go in!"

Was she crazy?  Just forget about it?

"How could I just forget about my BEARY!" I yelled across the playground. "You go inside! I'm going to stay out here and look for it."

Giving me an annoyed look, she shoook her head and jogged inside.

I didn't care.  Nothing else mattered to me, I just want my beary back. 

Beary is my best friend, not her.  Sure she's cool, but really, I feel ignored when I'm around them, Beary never ignores me, although I ignored him today, that's why he's lost.

"Where are you" I called squating down, looking under the plastic bridge. 

After I lost my footing and fell in the woodchips, I felt tears soaking my cheeks.  This was officially the worst day of my whole entire life, nothing was going right, that is, untill I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Turning around I saw a paleish boy who was blocking the sun looking down at me with these dead fish eyes of his, he looked like he didn't have an interest in the world.  

I gasped a little from surprise.

"Ah-"

He then shoved a stuffed animial foreward.  I hadn't even noticed he was holding anything, I just noticed his overwelming appearence. 

"BEARY!" I exclaimed and snatched it out of his hands. "You found it! Where was it?"

After what seemed a few minutes of silence, he slowly pointed at the swingset.

"Thank you so much!" I babbled, sniffling like an idiot "It really means a lot to me! I really love my beary."

He didn't reply, instead he just leaned down an stared at my knee. It was bleeding and I hadn't noticed.

He slowly got back up and dug his hand in his pocket and then he tossed something on my lap before walking away.

"A Bandaide..." I whispered to myself as he walked away.

"Wait!" I screamed, running after him.  He just kept walking.

"What's your name?" 

He ignored me.

"My name is Daisy." 

He still said nothing.

"Leo! Daisy!" My teacher called from the window of our elementray building. "Hurry up and come inside or else you'll get time out!"

"Yes!" We both called out.

As soon as the teacher slid the window shut, I turned to examin the boy.

"You're name is Leo?"

He gave me a look that I ignored and he kept walking.

"Welp, Leo." I smiled. "Since you found my beary, we're friends now! I'll see you later leo!"

Without waiting for his reply, I ran inside. 

He had no choice.
