"So..Miyun-ah, what do you think of Minho?" Her mom asked her one day while picking up the dishes after dinner. 

"Minho? As in Choi Minho-Oppa?" Miyun asked, confused. 

"Well, yeah. Y'know, the one studying to be a doctor?" 

Miyun nodded, "Yeah, what about him?" She asked, washing the dishes. 

"Well, his mom told me that she would like you as her daughter in-law for Minho." 

Miyun stopped and then started to laugh. "Me!? I'm only 16! And he's what? 23? 24?" 

"He's 22. And I approve! You maybe young, but you're mature...at times." 

Miyun laughed again, "If you want me to marry Minho, why not just let me date one of my favorite kpop idols!?" 

Her mother went behind her and smacked her shoulder, "You know you'd never have a chance with those guys! Look at your Myungsoo, for example. He dated that one girl!" 

Miyun pouted, "Omma, You're ruining my dreams." 

Her mom laughed, "Good! You should think of a new, more real one!" Miyun made a face of distaste as her mother gave her another big bowl to wash. "I wouldn't mind having Minho as a son-in-law, y'know...he's so nice and friendly to the elderly and he's great with kids! You need to date a man like that, or else you will never have a happy marriage!" 

Miyun raised her eyebrow, "Omma, when I get married, I want to make sure that the guy actually likes me for who I am. Not just because he's good with kids or nice to people."

Her mom sighed as she added the meat into the boiling water, "Fine, have it your way. But at least give it some thought? I'd actually let you date someone like him...despite the . Though, I'll only let you date once you graduate high school." 

Miyun sighed heavily before flicking her hands of the remaining water droplets and wiped her hands clean. "Alright, I'll think about it or whatever. But I can't guarantee that I'll agree to any of this! It's the 21st century, omma. People don't have that many arranged marriages anymore." Her mom grunted in agreement, "Yeah, that's true...but still! He's a good candidate!" 

"Omma!" Miyun whined. Her mother looked at her and sighed, "Arasso, arasso. I'll just tell his mom that you're not ready and wait a couple of years." But by then, Miyun had her cellphone out and earplugs in, not hearing a word she had said.
