I don’t know if you care for me to say this, but…I’m sorry. I turned all your socks pink – Chanyeol

Baekhyun sat for a moment reading the note he had found on top of the washing machine then, with trepidation, opened the circular door.

All his socks were pink. Well at least Chanyeol wasn’t a liar.

He grabbed one between two fingertips and held it up in front of his face. ‘How the hell did he manage this? I even left instructions…’ Just as he thought it, Baekhyun looked over to the discarded ball of mush with a slightly un-white sheen to it that was once a paper list. ‘Oh my God, he washed it by accident.’ But surely he must have used it before he put the machine on…?

“CHANYEOL?” Baekhyun shouted through to the living room, where he knew his University roommate was sat on the sofa watching a music show.

“Yeah Baek?” The very tall lad fumbled his way into the utility room, a sheepish look on his face. He knew Baekhyun had found the note.

“Why are my instructions soaking wet, didn’t you read them before you accidentally washed the paper along with my pink socks?” Chanyeol - just as Baekhyun had before - turned his head to look at the weakly coloured pink pulp, then hung his head in shame.

“I – uh…” Baekhyun rolled his eyes, becoming slightly amused. Chanyeol was too busy feeing sorry for himself to notice.

“Come on spit it out, what happened?” Baekhyun was almost anticipating the most likely hilarious excuse to be given – there was never a dull moment with his slightly dense but nevertheless adorable roommate.

“I didn’t know the washing machine used its own water so I went to fetch some to put in it and the note got in the way.” Baekhyun then bent down, not caring about the lovely view of his he was displaying to Chanyeol, and pulled something else out from the machine. He dangled it in front of Chanyeol’s nose; the taller went a little cross-eyed. Baekhyun sighed, now just wanting to cuddle up with Chanyeol and watch a movie, but this had to be out of the way.

“So, this is the culprit huh? Even if you don’t know how to use a washing machine, you don’t put almost neon pink underpants in with white socks and other white underpants.” At this Chanyeol can’t suppress a small grin.

“We’ll be matching Baekhyunnie. Besides, white is such a boring colour. Live a little.” Finally, the taller spies the thinly concealed laughter on the elder’s face and lets himself laugh. Baekhyun starts chuckling too and says,

“If anyone says anything at Uni, I’m not gonna hold back from fully blaming you.”

“Credit where credit’s due I suppose. So now that’s out of the way and we’ve established that I’m never using this damn thing again-” Chanyeol gives the washing machine a good kick for emphasis – “shall we go have movie night…I know it’s my turn to pick but I’ll give it to you because that’s my sorry.” ‘And because my crush on you doesn’t allow me to be selfish’ Chanyeol doesn’t add on.

The film Baekhyun chooses is Mean Girls. He re-names it Mean Boy and when not reciting the script, he jabs Chanyeol both physically and with words about the mishap from earlier. Chanyeol points out that they can now have pink Wednesdays. Baekhyun dramatically pretends to sob and all is well in the tiny flat they call home.

a/n: It's been a while.

This is just a load of wtf... I can not even remember where I got inspiration for this one. It's very random. All my drabbles seem to include Chanyeol being not so bright, oh dear. But it's endearing and so I keep doing it. Somehow, it just fits in the stories. This is also the most drabbly drabble as it is very short. Often I write and it's too long to be a drabble and too short to be a oneshot and I get so confused trying to catagorize it.
