A ticket to nowhere
Description
Just another plane ride taking her to another part of her day. Going to the lecture wasn't something she was particularly looking forward to. Of course, she learned long ago to expect the unexpected from just about anything. Including a simple change to first class. But she didn't think that first class seat mates were this talkative.
Foreword
I know there are people that think planning is a good thing and I don't blame them, it kept my mother sane through the worst of times
But for me, I prefer to take every day one step at a time
I don't know what's going to happen next I may be in England one day and the US the next
I may finish my degree or I might take a year off and backpack across China
I like not knowing where I'm going the thrill of it is like a drug for me
There is one thing that has grown to irk me over the years though,
Explaining to people why
One shot written for Kestrelsong's Summer Contest using premise number six: “A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.” With my interpretation of it in this glorifying the idea of taking everything one day at a time Anais never really plans with the end in mind and intends to live as much as possible.
