It's been a half an hour Niel's watching his hyung's back. That small figure moves around in the kitchen, making breakfast for two. Not because he's a caring person, nor it's his turn, he just lost the rock-paper-scissors game. His two hands are very occupied, splitting between making the eggs and slicing the bread. It was such an easy job, but somehow he looked overwhelmed. Niel giggled at him. He just want to put him on the couch and took over the breakfast making.
"Nielie... do you want your egg half-cooked?", asked L.Joe.
"Yeah, that's alright", said Niel.
L.Joe put the eggs on the bread, lied them on the plates and brought them to Niel that been sitting lazily on the couch. They don't have tv since it costs quite much, so every time they have together they spend it on talking to each other. Sometimes there are too many things to talk about, sometimes there's just nothing. Living together in one cramped apartment isn't that colorful.
Niel picked his bread and bite it. He looked at L.Joe that do the same thing.
"Hyung, tonight let me sleep on the bed", said Niel as he moved the blanket he used last night from the couch to the round table in front of them. Since they only have one single bed in their room, they decided who's got the bed with rock-paper-scissors game once they entered the room for the first time.
"No", answered L.Joe short.
"Come on... my body's been aching lately", said Niel.
"You know I'm selfish", said L.Joe.
"Hyung...", said Niel with his annoyed face.
L.Joe giggled.
"Let's sleep together in one bed", said L.Joe.
"I will squashed you, hyung...", said Niel with serious face.
L.Joe laughed and hit his head.
"Ah... Sorry", L.Joe suddenly regret his action. He's still scared about Niel's reaction last Saturday.
Niel's looking at his hyung with cold stare. He sighed and grabbed L.Joe closer to him. Still with poker face looking straight ahead, he rubbed L.Joe's shoulder. L.Joe put Niel's arm away and he's looking at Niel, try to find some answers. Niel stood up without a word and walking to the kitchen, making a cup of coffee, left L.Joe wonders. L.Joe leaned back to the couch as he watch the ceiling. Only the sound of poured water and spoon clanking heard.
Then, a knock on the door broke their silence.
L.Joe walk to the door, he's peeping through to see who is it. Turned out it's their landlady. L.Joe hesitantly opened the door. The middle-aged woman with tired expression welcomed him.
"When will you guys pay your rent? it's been a month late", said the lady.
"Just give us more time. Maybe... next week?", said L.Joe unsurely.
"If you guys late for two months, I'll cut off your heater, you know that don't you?", said the lady.
"Yah, Mrs. Park, please spare us", said L.Joe with cute manner, try to took her heart.
"I won't fall for your aegyo", Mrs. Park left L.Joe, cooly walking down the stairs. L.Joe scoffs and closed the door.
“Mrs. Park again?”, said Niel from behind.
“Yeah… she will cut off our heater next month”, said L.Joe. Niel’s just looking at him, he walk slowly towards the couch as he’s sipping his coffee. L.Joe leaned his body on the closed door, watching Niel sit comfortably on the couch.
“When is your shift start? Why don’t you get ready?”, asked Niel.
“I should work extra hours so we could pay our rent, shouldn’t I? What about you, huh?”, said L.Joe.
“I have couple gigs next week”, said Niel, looking at the window.
“Do you have audition again today?”, asked L.Joe.
“Yeah…”, answered Niel short.
“Can I come to see your audition?”, asked L.Joe hesitantly.
Niel’s looking at his hyung… L.Joe still leaned on the back of the door, seems like he doesn’t dare to approach Niel. “Sure…”, said Niel try to pull a smile.
L.Joe chuckled. He jumped
