drops of jupiter
It had been while since Junho had seen him in the flesh, been close enough to feel the warmth radiating from his skin.
So when he answers the persistent knocking on his front door to find Chansung standing on his porch, the only thing he can do is stare because it’s been two years, two ing years, and Junho’s heart is in his throat because this is the moment of truth, the ‘what have we become?’ confrontation.
People can change in two years and Junho isn’t ready for change. He isn’t ready for the thought that maybe while Chansung had been traveling and ‘finding himself’ he had found someone more interesting and exciting than Junho. That’d after all he’d been through in two years, Junho was old news, some memory about a first love that was too scared to leave Korea.
And he was still staring, drinking in the sight of Chansung, waiting for him to give some sign or signal as to if he should embrace him as a lover or a friend because really he had no idea what they were anymore.
Then Chansung smiled, the same ear-to-ear toothy smile Junho loved, and Junho let out the breath he was holding and it was like those two years just vanished into thin air.
