As Jonghyun rolled the body on his back, his mouth opened in shock. The boy in front of him was beautiful. He had blond hair and seemed to radiate of warmth despite the fact that his body was cold from the long stay under water. But what had shocked him more than this was the burning sensation inside his chest, like fire, spreading everywhere.

Yet Jonghyun didn’t take time to think about it. Maybe there was still a chance for the boy as the last bubbles of oxygen had barely left his lungs. Jonghyun couldn’t help him from underwater; he had to bring him back up, to where the boy truly belonged.

So he didn’t wait, he grabbed the boy by his waist, holding him tight as he started rolling his hips and swaying his tail. He had to save him. The urge was growing in his mind and when he finally pierced the layer of water above them, he hissed at the air entering his lungs. He didn’t like going to the surface. But right now he didn’t have a choice; he needed to save the blonde.

Luckily they weren’t that far away from the shore and with a few powerful swings Jonghyun ran aground. Their bodies were still half in the water but he didn’t care, he quickly folded his tail under him and started pressing on the other’s chest, forcing the water to get out of the lungs and biting his lips as the fire seemed to heat up inside him, almost burning him up.

He had to save him.
