"Your powers don't work?" she asked.

Luhan sighed. "This hasn't happened before."

"So you won't kill me anymore?"

"No. I have to take your life."

"How will you do it?"

"I don't know yet."

"Then, can you stay by my side until you discover it?"

Luhan stared at the girl as her eyes pleaded.

Maybe I'll discover it if I stay by your side. So, let's give it a try.

Luhan nodded and Suzy smiled.

"Thank you."

"Suzy-ya?" her aunt called from outside.

Suzy gestured him to stay quiet, putting her index finger between her lips.

Silly girl. You are the only one who can hear me.

"Suzy-ya, are you still awake?"

They just sat there and let silence engulf them. Soon, they heard her aunt's fading footsteps.

Suzy smiled againa s he whispered, "I guess I still have to sleep."

She then, lied on her futon before asking, "Won't you sleep?"

"I don't sleep."

"It's a pity then since you won't have dreams."

"I don't need dreams because I don't need to escape from the cruel reality of this world," Luhan answered coldly.

He saw how her eyes glistened with sadness before she greeted him goodnight. She smiled as she shut her eyes.

...and Luhan just watched her sleep, wondering why he could not take the girl's life away.

"Do you just stay here the whole day?" Luhan asked the girl as she sat on the veranda again.

She nodded. "I'm not allowed to go out."

"Were you always like this?"

Suzy shook her head. "When I was young, I still played outside but I always fall sick. Since then, in order to protect me, they kept me home."

"Were you sad then?"

Suzy smiled as she shook her head. "No. I did not mind it since someone was by my side; happiness found me at home."

"Suzy-ya, are you talking to someone?" her aunt asked which made Suzy flinch a little.

"Oh," she mumbled before glancing at Luhan who was just beside her aunt.  She smiled before answering, "No."

Her aunt just nodded slowly and inspected the garden if there was really no one. Then she said with a smile, "Kyuhyun is here."
