Greetings
Learn Chinese :DEveryone knows the common hello, "你好" ("Ni hao" or pronounced "Knee How") . But do you know how to say "How are you?" It's "你好吗" ("Ni hao ma" or pronouced "Knee How MAH"). Usually, people/EXO-M would respond with "挺好 or 还好" (very good or TING HAO or HEN HAO prouncounced as TING HOW or HEN HOW) or "还好" (okay or HAI HAO prounounced as it is) and hopefully not "不好" (not good or BU HAO prounounced as BOO HOW).
In fanfics, I saw some people write 你好吗 (How are you?) when really meaning "Are you okay?" However, "Are you okay?" is actually "你还好吗" or literally translated, "Are you still okay?"
Okay, now with that covered, on to other name greetings :D
Usually I would call my parents friends "叔叔" (Shu Shu pronounced with a flat tone) if he is a male and "阿姨" (A Yi prounouced as AH E) if she is a female. Please note that these two words literally mean Uncle and Aunt but they do not need to be related to me for me to use them. It's kinda like in Korean "Ajushii or Ajumma".
Please comment and ask any questions! :D
