Chapter 1
Trapped
I awoke to the ringing of my alarm clock. I groaned in annoyance and got up. I closed
my alarm clock, got up, made my bed, showered, and put my uniform on. I pulled on my
knee high socks, making sure I hid all the scars and new wounds on my legs and went
downstairs. I made breakfest, eggs, bacon and ham. I grabbed the milk container from
the fridge and poured some into a cup and drank it. I quickly washed the cup and
grabbed my backpack. I quickly got out of the house, locked the door and rode my
bicycle to school. On my way there I bought a couple lollipops. I open one while walking
out the door and saw a little boy staring into the candy shop. I felt bad for him. He
looked homeless and he was the cutest kid I've ever seen in my whole 16 years of
living. I walked up to him and said, "Hi there. you want this lollipop?" The little boy
turned around and looked at the lollipop. Slowly he took the lollipop out of my hand with
his small hand and giggled. I looked at him with pure admiration. He had dark brown
hair that cover his forehead. His eyes were a sparkling brown that matched his hair
color. The clothes he wore were torn and ripped. I frowned. He must be living a hard
life. "What's you name?" I asked trying to sound as friendly as possible so won't scare
him away. "My name is Kangsan, and I am 3 years old." he said holding up 5 fingers. I
smiled and chuckled. He was just so cute! "Where are your parents?" I asked him.
Right when I asked him I saw his face drop from happy to sad. "I don't have parents." he
said. He looked really mournful. I wanted to cry because of he look on his face. It was
so sad. I quickly thought of an idea. "Kangsan-ah, I'm going to be your new mommy
okay?-" I took his nod as a signal to continue. "Kangsan I'm going to look for a place
you could stay for awhile. A place you won't get wet or snowed on okay?" I said. There
was this old play house I found near my house. No one went there because the outside
looked really dirty and scary. One day I went there to hide from my parents and
dicovered that the electricity, and water could work. I fixed everything up and turned it
into my very own hiding house. I put a lock on the door and stuff too. I quickly took
Kangsan there on my bike. Luckily I woke up 2 hours before school started so I have
plenty of time left. I got off the bike with Kangsan and showed him inside. I stored some
extra food just in case I had to stay there for awhile. "Kangsan-ah listen to mommy, you
need to stay here and don't go anywhere until mommy comes back, got it?" told him.
He nodded and said, "Okay mommy! I won't go anywhere!" I smiled and left to school.
