The summer heat was fatally hot on the evening when Woori had finally decided to have a nice, relaxing sit on the porch. She had a book in one hand and a cold lemonade drink in another, and she had also set up the fan to blow to her, but there was no benefit as the fan only blew warm air within the rising temperature of the summer weather.
It was absolutely quiet around the neighborhood that time. Only small grumbles from passing cars and a faint sound of a dog barking from houses away were heard.
Woori took a sip of her frigid drink, putting it on the nearing table as ice cubes smashed together with their chiming noise. She was about to head right back into her romance novel until a felt a hand collide with hers, sending her a surprise jump.
“Doojoon, what are you doing here?” she exclaimed, making a passerby stare at her strangely. She slightly bowed to apologize for her loudness.
“I've just dropped by.”
“Don't scare me like that! You know how easily I get scared!” She lay back on her seat, taking another sip on her drink.
“I'm sorry. I just wanted to see you.”
