He’s grown so much so quickly. It upset her. She didn’t want him to become older, especially without his father around. Just a couple of months ago, Sohyun’s husband left oversea to the new land for the discovery of some sort of riches and gold. Although she wanted him to stay, it was better for him to leave to support the family.
She glanced at Dongwoon’s empty chair, imagining of him laughing and smiling during whenever he spoke of his adventures during supper time. However, it was no longer the same. The only thing that had changed now was that he was gone, drifted with the sea breeze as the ship he steered was picked up to some expedition and secret quests.
He sent letters every now and then, but it didn’t satisfy her enough; it didn’t fulfill the emptiness in the house enough. She struggled to become used to his absence, but she knew that she just had to endure just a little longer while he was away. She knew that it would always be difficult for a wife to stay a part from her husband for a long time, but the fact that she was on this on her own and shattering miserably, she just couldn’t cope with all the pounding emotions that rushed through her like tremendous tidal waves that sunk hopeful sailboats and large, gray clouds that heavily wept to its ocean that played as a puddle
