Seriously, I had not expected I would meet him here. He promptly greeted me with his usual, charming smile whilst folding his newspaper as soon as I passed by the bench that he was sitting on. His appearance today was completely different than the other days we had met. He looked rather shabby with his blue t-shirt and jeans. He seemed did not care of his appearance on that day, even though his t-shirt had become so ploddingly dull meanwhile his jean got some rips in a few parts. His hair was also not perfectly fine. He even wore a pair of poorly ragged flip flop. Ah, maybe he had just woken up from his slumber and went to the supermarket right away.

“I’d love to go for breakfast so... wanna go together?”

I would really love to accept his invitation but I felt kind of embarrassed, though. But in the other hand, it would be so unfortunate if I declined it. It was not like he would do the same thing if we met again next time. Plus, I was pretty scared, to be frank. This kind of person, would probably be a bad guy. He might be a drug addict whom will snatch my handbag in any time. But after deeming him as a completely sane guy during our meeting, my heart clearly against the thought. Plus, my heart even felt so close with him during that day. Ah, this feeling was so strange that I cannot even decipher!

“Uhm, it’s okay. I don’t really like to have breakfast on such early morning,” I rejected his invitation softly, though, I did not mean to do so. In the end of my remark, I cursed inwardly to myself for my great stupidity.

“If you want to have breakfast after you buy groceries, it’s okay. I can wait for you... and we can have breakfast together,” Luhan gave me an option. Then, a  smile crept on his lips, seducing me in silence.

“It’s really okay, though. I need to do something else after this, Luhan.” Obviously, it was an answer that I had not expected would flow out from my mouth. I was so flabbergasted. It was not the answer I would love to give to him. But I did not know how to change it. My tongue suddenly felt utterly stiffened.

Luhan seemed understood of my refusal. “Alright then. I’ll get going for breakfast now,” he announced and began to walk away from me. I watched his footstep with a heavy heart.

Ah, maybe he was not inviting me for breakfast seriously. That was what I thought to myself, trying to cover up my immense dissapointment even though he was not like I was describing.
