“Ahem…”

They turned around and saw Da pei looking at them with a mischievous grin.

Aaron awkwardly lets Gui gui go then walk inside the house with a poker face.

Gui gui secretly pouts as she gave Da pei an evil eye.

Da pei looks at her innocently then giggle.

Gui gui just looks at her then smile.

“What are you two still doing there?” They heard Aaron said.

Both of them just stare at him as he walks back to them.

He stops just a few steps away from the girls then sighs before he extends his hand.

“Let’s go.”

They both just look at him in confusion. He gets irritated by the lack of reaction.

He took a breath then reach for Gui gui’s hand.

“It’s getting dark you need to go in.” he said as he avoid Da pei’s teasing stare.

Gui gui just nod then looks at their claps hands. She tried her best not to let out a smile.

“Oh Ying Jie you’re here.” Aaron’s mom greets her as they went inside the house.

Her eyes went to their hands. Gui gui tried to pull her hand from him but he just told them tighter.

“Auntie, ni hao?”

“We’ll just be in my room.” Aaron announced.

His mom’s eyes went wide as a smile spread her lips.

“Hao la, just remember to stay safe.”

Aaron suddenly stops from his track.

“We’re just going to talk.” He explains

“ok~” she said in an unbelieving tone.

“Aist~ think what you want.” He said then drags Gui gui into the room.

Once inside the room he instantly locks the door.

He looks back and saw Gui gui sitting in his bed.

“Don’t look at me like that. I just don’t want Da pei to interrupting us.”

Gui gui’s eyes went wide.

That didn’t sound right. Now what? Aaron think!

“Are you still mad at me?” He asked.

“Why would I be mad?”

“Because of what I did…”

No response.

“Are you mad because I kissed you in front of that guy?”

“No.” He sighed in relief.

“Then why didn’t you call me?”

“I’ve been busy.”

“You’ve been avoiding me.” He said in an irritated tone. He hates it.

“I’m not.”

“Yes you are.”

Gui gui sighed. “Yes I am.”

“Why?”

“Because you’re confusing…”

He didn’t know how to respond so he tried to change the subject.

“Where were you the whole day?” he asked.

“I’m with George. He helped me with my algebra lesson.”

Aaron’s hand formed a fist.

“Do you really like him?”

Gui gui just looks straight to his eyes…

As if like a magnet he can’t help but get pulled to her…

Next thing he knew their face were just inches away from each other.

He is not sure when this all started… she had always been special…

but now all he wants is to be with her.

He hated the fact that she has her eyes on another man… to blinded to see him.

He wanted her to notice him… to only look at him.

Is this still brotherly concern? No. Of course he knew it was more than that

And that ‘more’ is what scaring him.

He lifts his hand and touches her face… she just looks at him as if waiting for his next move.

What is she thinking?

His eyes went down to her lips… those sweet cherry lips.

He could still remember its addicting taste.

How much he wanted to have them again.

This is crazy he knew that, she might get angry at him after this but he doesn’t care any more.

“You need to up your game now, Gege. George is starting to notice her after the show you did.

Guess she won’t be needing your help any more.”

“I think we could now break up.”

Like hell I would let her go. Not now…

Inch by inch he moves closer. He could see her eyes widen a bit.

She seems shock with his action. Well he’s also surprise… this is really not him.

He knew agreeing to be her pretend boyfriend is a crazy idea.

Being with her is making him crazy but the weird thing is he loves it.

He loves…

“Gui er, I…”

He was interrupted when they heard whispering.

He opened the door and as he had expected it were his mom and little sister trying to ears drop.

He glared at them and they just smiled at him sweetly.

“What do you think your doing?”

“Ah bu, don’t be mad. I just want to check if you kids need anything. I didn’t plan to disturb you.” His mom said.

Aaron rolled his eyes. As if he would believe that.

He turned to Da pei who is still teasingly smile.

“I’m here to get Gui gui. She’s my guess.” She said then tags on Gui gui’s arm.

“Right best friend?”

Gui gui just nods.

“You have many things to tell me.” Da pei said then turned to her brother.

“I’ll borrow your ‘girlfriend’ first.” She pulled her out of his room and wave at him.

“We’re still talking.” He protests.

“You’re too slow. Gui gui came here for me so Bye bye”

Aaron hissed then turned to his mother who’s now laughing.

“Why did you give me a sibling?”
