Chapter One

Author Note: Warnings of hinted homoual love and slight ual scenes :)

The best way to describe a vampire was like a cat, always graceful with a gaze that caught everything, silent with predatory instinct. Many liked the night life of being a vampire but of course there was also those who hated it.

Vampires don’t burn in the sunlight, or sparkle for that matter, the inly reason they preferred the night was for two reasons: one, it was easier to hunt and feed at night as there was less people reducing the risk of being caught and two, seeing as everything was heightened the feeling of the sun was uncomfortable and the light was bright almost too bright making vampires seem like a human with a hangover. Older Vampires didn't have as much problem but it was still uncomfortable to go out in the day even if some of them still did so.

Mei-Zhen was a vampire that loved her immortal life, she was free to travel where she wanted when she wanted and never had the troublesome worry of time running out as there was always much of it to throw around. Mei always returned to one place she had considered 'home' where her friends Kris, Lay, Luhan, Tao, Chen and Xiumin resided, the moved around much less than she did but they were her friends.

She was walking briskly along a path that was a little further away from the bustling night life of the city, she was here to meet her longest friend Kris, and he led a coven and was the type to stay in one place as long as possible. Her pace slowed, she didn’t feel like rushing, the night was beautiful with the moon large and orange giving soft light to the street below, the sky was clear of cloud. It was a beautiful change to the rain that had been taking over the week.

Mei paused for a moment her spine tingled giving it away that she was no longer alone, a smirk crossed her face and not even three seconds past, a young and hungry vampire lunged for her neck, she stepped backwards quickly her hair flew during this action and with an advantage of his current imbalance she grabbed the back of his neck slamming him down to the floor. His cheek pressed painfully in the gravel as he blue eyes expressed surpise and fear.

“You must be really new if you can’t tell I’m part of your kind,” she cooed in a patronizing voice as one of her hands his face gently while he was pinned to the floor. He choked on his saliva, he was scared and he knew he had made a massive mistake "I should really kill you,” his eyes widened as he tried to break out of the hold she had on him, to stop him from moving she simply sat on his back trapping him completely on the floor.

“Please don’t kill me!” he stressed his breath was coming out in quickened pants “I made a mistake please I beg for your forgiveness... I am still learning!” he swallowed the nervous limp that formed in his throat. She pondered quietly a smile crossing her face.

“I won’t kill you this time for I am in a good mood but I do not give second chances so this is your first and last warning,” she had said it emotionless as she continued to his face “That doesn’t get you out of punishment though sweetie,” this made the young vampire tense even more than before. This fledgling easily amused her and so she was going to continue to play.

“What punishment..?” he forced the words out he must be treated softly for him to be so timid unless he was created to be a lover, she thought to herself the silence increasing his tension, her lips constantly tugged up in a smirk leaning close to his ear her breath caressed the hairs making the hair on his arm rise.

“I’m going to rip your fangs out, they won’t take long to grow back,” she purred dangerously low prying open his mouth, he tried yanking his head bac, his tongue pressed against her fingers as saliva formed he coughed it up, it slowly sliding out from the corners of his mouth making Mei laugh at his suffering.

“Mei don’t hurt my beautiful Tao!” a tall blonde haired man called out, his face was filled with concern as she slowly removed her fingers from Tao’s mouth smiling in the elder vampires direction. Mei stood up and quickly the younger vampire rushed towards the blonde hiding in his neck.

“You back to having pets again Kris?” she asked nonchalantly, his eyes glowed with amusement it was obvious that he had liked Tao because he was so protective, “You should really teach him with firmer hand, he is so fun to play with so timid, he lunged for me thinking I was human what have you been teaching him?” Mei lectured Kris, it was playful banter but she knew it had ticked him off when she found something wrong with what he was doing.

“Mei, please shut up,” he had commented with a sarcastic smile that showed his face. Mei grinned at him waltzing closer getting up in his face; he smiled genuinely placing a hand on her shoulder “It’s good to see you Mei,” he said slowly “Now why don’t we go home, it’s been a while since you have returned,” as he talked his hand constantly sensually up and down Tao’s spine while he was nuzzled into the elder’s neck making Mei roll her eyes.

-Sangre Fría-

Mei rushed inside looking around for one person, walking from room to room getting frustrated that she couldn’t find him, she had left Kris and Tao behind the minute Luhan was mentioned she had missed him incredibly so.

“Lu baobei,” she called teasingly her eyes blue and filled with hunger, something about him always made her hungry, hungry or his blood. She her lips when she saw his frame in the doorway. Her eyes trained in his direction her eyes never leaving him; a smile crossed his face only making her want to pounce on him that much more.

“After twenty-seven years of you not being here, you’re still going to call me that?” he snapped annoyed at the nickname as he still had a smile over his face, she slowly stalked loser to him and his eyes narrowed suspiciously as her lips pulled up into a smirk. Her hands pressed against his chest as her nose pressed against his neck making him tense “Mei control you-“ he hissed slightly his breath catching in his throat when her hands tightly pushed his arms against the wall knowing what was coming next.

“Do you know that you still smell just as good as I remember?” she groaned missing his scent, his body well actually his whole essence. pressed against his neck kissing softly and tenderly, completely in control of the situation, Luhan hated when he was controlled, even though he had a porcelain like face he was manly and dominant and when I came to her feeding he had been made to be weak. His neck tilted instinctively as her fangs retracted and dragged across the sensitive skin only making him even more frustrated.

“Hurry up already!” he hissed impatiently, he deep down wanted to feel the rush of pleasure but he would ever admit it to anyone. After his comment she laughed and then bit into the base of his neck, Luhan moaned out slightly at the sudden burst of pleasure and pain. Mei was blood drunk by the time she pulled away her hands they moved to cup his face, her fingers slowly across his chin as she stared at his lips and then his eyes only to see them close giving her permission to capture his lips with her own kissing him passionately.

Luhan flipped positions so that she was at the wall and kissed her like there was no tomorrow she responded to the kiss teasingly until he pulled to his senses pushing her harder against the wall pulling away from the kiss, breath came out heavily as he looked into her now black eyes. “Don’t do that again,” he growled he said denying his part in the kiss.

“Don’t say it happened and we have a deal,” Meir responded as she her lips, inside she was kicking herself as she also began to come to her senses, damn his intoxicating blood. Every time she drank it she would get drunk on his emotions to get the upper hand and keep cool she pushed him against the wall up his neck making his breath catch in his throat she smiled victoriously.

“Get a rom you two,” Joked Chen as he walked in the room “Lulu you really need to hid that bulge she may start to think you like being fed on,” Chen had a massive smile across his face, Luhan on the other hand was glaring at Chen, he was obviously embarrassed at Chen’s comment and the bulge that had been noted that he had.

“Long time no see Chen,” Mei had said not even effected by the words he said, she stepped away from Luhan and then got squeezed tightly by Chen. He was good friends with her so the long visits and times she was away was hated as everyone liked her presence most of the time.

Lay and Xiumin decided to join in on the sudden loud commotion smiling wide at the sight of Mei. All the news spread around the house, more and more vampire had come from the entire town it was as if she was famous, Mei couldn’t help but like it.

-Sangre Fría-

It was four in the morning and Mei couldn’t sleep, low chuckles, giggles, heavy breathing and moans could be heard and slowly it began to bug her. She thought for a minute until she slammed her hand against the wall, unexpectedly her hand went straight through the wall.

A string of profanities slipped from Kris’ mouth and when her hand returned there was a slip of awkward silence coming from both parties. A hit of blood hit her nose making a tight feeling constrict making her breathe heavily.

“You guys don’t shut up! I am moving to a different room” Mei growled her tone slightly forced as she got up and retreated from the scent, her immediate reaction was to leave and look for her deer. She could find him anywhere and slowly she found herself in front of his door, she looked left and right before she quickly entered the room.

She smiled seeing him asleep and so she walked slowly closer eyeing him until she saw a flash of neck pouncing on him startling him awake to pin her to the bed only glaring at her. His eyes scanned over her face only noticing her eyes were a vibrant blue, he rolled his eyes he was getting nervous with her being here.

“What are you doing here!?” he hissed in a whisper as her nose playfully skimmed over his neck making him gasp. Mei liked when he pressed her against the bed and his weight against her body, he wore a turtle neck and she pulled and ripped it away from his body as a smile crossed her face pressing her hands mindlessly against his abs until he yanked her hands away from his body pinning them above her head.

“I am hungry and Kris ad Tao wouldn’t shut up,” she whispered I his ear with a pout to then move and lunge for his neck dripping his precious blood on her tongue, she groaned silently at the taste as she felt she was in heaven. After she had fed she gave him a cute smile and her vision went black, she had passed out she was obviously exhausted.

Luhan looked to her with gentle eyes and a smile crossed his face and slowly he leaned down kissing her forehead, happy for the company for just one night, with his thoughts slowing down he hugged closer to her falling asleep he no longer wanted to think about the problems or reactions of what people will express, he was going to leave the problems for tomorrow.
