So here, I'm going to teach you the basics. The basics are like saying "Hi" to people around you. You can use informality if you two are close friends. But if not; Choose the otherwise which is with formality. It's very easy to classify informality with formality.

example;;

informality: Hoy! Pare! Musta na?

formality:Hello po. Musta?

See the difference? The informality has the calling effects; which is "Pare" But notice the formality? It has "po" which is really suitable when the ones you are talking to is older than you. Why? This is really a tradition for us Filipinoes; To say "po" which resembles respect.
