Chapter 1 : Transfer Student, High School Starts Now!

“…..The first day of high school in the human world and already this?”

Suh Min Young was walking down the alley, humming a tune.

She loved to stroll in dark and damp places,

which she assumed was much better than walking out in the streets. After all, it was

summer and it was much too hot for her to take, even though it would of course, not kill her.

She was now irritated, for a ‘too-much like-a-manhwa(Korean comic)’ scene was taking place,

blocking her way when the school was just a turn to the left of the exit of the alley and

5 minutes based on the average walking speed of a normal human.

A girl from the same high school Min Young was transferring to and a man wearing unprepossessing

clothes. Despite knowing that helping the girl would just be a waste of time,

Min Young couldn’t tolerate leaving the girl alone to be harassed or

anything that might probably leave her traumatized. 

After all, she had tasted the trauma of fear back in the Vampire Realm.

 

The situation was to her advantage, Min Young may be a wingless vampire,

but she still had a few powerful abilities of an average vampire and the man was human.

For example, power and speed.

Swiftly with almost no effort, Min Young’s movements were fast and strong, punching the man

unconscious in an instant. Although Min Young felt happy knowing that she had saved the girl,

she did not dare to interact with the girl.

Afraid that the trauma she had gone through in the past would come back to her, 

Min Young took a glance at the girl. Checking that she was completely fine,

she set off again to school, wiping off what seemed like a dirt stain off her fingers, 

“Humans here are like that? The neighbors back at the home mother and father provided were much

kinder and gentle. Hopefully, the humans in the high school are better than that disgusting man.”

“Hey, I heard that a new transfer student’s coming! Kwon Dami came to school,

Around the same time, Min Young was at the school office, waiting for the teacher to guide her to her

classroom and get her introduced to the students in the class.

“It’s a standard procedure for every new transfer student.

who’s currently talking about the ‘standard procedure’ of the school.

The teacher was still talking. Min Young got sick of the details and began to think to herself,

“The school’s pretty grand, really Grand. A school for the rich...

I didn’t recall mother and father being rich, probably because the money in the human world is worth

much lesser than money in the other crappy world?

We’re pretty much rich in some way or another in here, which is good to hear,

I have no financial problems. 

Hate to admit it but I guess it’s one of the few things I like about being born in that hells pit.”

 

“…….Good, he’s finally done. I’ll finally be able to get some peace in the classroom after the introduction.”

 

…That was what Min Young thought.

For she did not know about how to go about with her introduction,

she calmly started and ended her introduction with her ‘human’ name, Suh HyunMin.

Min Young needed a disguise in the human world, if she didn’t,

vampires from the royal family would set off to capture her as soon as

they know she’s in the human world, for they fear that fatal punishment would bestow upon 

them if they allowed an unauthorized person,

especially a wingless vampire like Min Young, 

which was the lowest of the low to go through the path to the ‘Human World’. 

Her parents feared for her, yet at the same time, 

did not want her to suffer her entire life as an outcast. 

Therefore, her parents gave her a condition. 

Min Young must hide her identity for as long as she was in the human world.

From there, she decided to disguise as a man, with the name ‘Suh HyunMin’,

to allow her to live peacefully and safely.
