Don't Know Your Heart
I Really Like You
Ricky didn't show up at school the
next day, or the next. You felt guilty,
even though you didn't think what you
did was wrong. "Im going to confess
today." You decided.
You left a note in the boy's locker
reading "Meet me after school by the
front doors -Secret Admirer" You
waited and waited. 30 minutes went
by, then an hour. You sighed, "Guess
that's a no." As you turned to go
back in the school to get you stuff
you noticed the boy by your locker.
He looked up at you, "Are you the
letter's author?" You nodded
embarrassed. He smiled. "Ok. I'll go
out with you." He said. Joy filled you
up from head to toes. You bowed and
thanked him. As you were walking
home from school you passed the
neighborhood park to see Ricky
swinging on a swing alone. No one
else, not a soul, was in the park. A
gloominess started to hang over you.
"Not the time." You thought and
started to walk away, but then ricky
noticed you. "Wait! Please, don't go."
You froze, tears filling your eyes.
"How can I face him when I have a
boyfriend?" thoughts of guilt began
to torment you. You turned around
and walked towards him, but
stopped. You couldn't avoid him as
much as you wanted to, anger filled
your heart, if it wasn't for him you
wouldn't feel this way. "Leave me
alone! I already have someone! Stop
confusing me!" You shouted at him.
His face looked shocked, tears
began to form in his eyes. His face
formed an expression of utter pain.
"Stay strong" you thought. "It had to
be done." You tried to convince
yourself. You abruptly turned away
and headed home. "It's not your fault.
It his, he made you feel this way. It's
his fault, it's his fault" you thought,
but your heart knew it was a lie.
