A PROMISE IS A PROMISE.

What the crowd WANTS,the crowd GETS!

It was 3 in the afternoon when Park Micha was patiently waiting at her table down at her favorite café just around the corner from her apartment.

Her head was unconsciously turning every time the door would open.

Then entered a man wearing his hood on with a matching cap and Ray-ban sunglasses, fully covered and was on his way to Micha’s table.

“I’ve been waiting for 2 hours…” Micha broke the cold awkward air.

“Mianhe—“

“We talked about this, a promise is a promise.” She said as she took a sip of her latte.

“Yeah—like we talked for the past two weeks?” he scoffed.

“Exactly the point, we haven’t talked for the past two weeks and by the day we actually meet you come 2 hours late.”

“I said I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry too.” Micha laid her latte down.

“It’s over Jaesoon-ah.” She stood up, got her bag and left.

He saw their whole life together flash through his mind.

They started dating way back in their high school days.

She stood by him every step in his rise to fame.

FLASHBACKS~

“We have to wear those?” Micha pointed at the cute surgical masks in his hands.

“Yeah—it’s the only way if you don’t wanna get mobbed by fans.”

“Can I have the one with skulls on them???” Micha asked with wide-eyes.

“Anni—skulls are mine. You stick with these cats.”

Micha gave him a merong, but went on wearing it too.

“What’s wrong Chagiya?” Micha asked her boyfriend who was slumped down the sofa.

“Nothing—I’m just tired.” He irritably said.

“Do you want to eat anything?” Micha asked.

“No.”

“But—chagiya, you have to eat. You’ll be so weak if you don’t eat.”

“You know what I need?!” he finally cracked.

“What? Tell me.”

“I need PEACE and QUIET! Go HOME! I’m dead serious Micha!”

“Oh.” Micha’s heart ached. She knew he was tired and didn’t mean to irritate him even more.

It was their 3rd year anniversary when he finally did something right.

He got a reservation from the best restaurant in Seoul and gave her the night of her life, or so he thought.

The waiter gave their appetizers when he realized that his position at that moment was such an honor.

“Is she your girlfriend, sir?” the waiter asked.

Micha was about to answer when,

“Anni—she’s just my cousin.” He smiled.

The waiter didn’t stop there and soon enough everyone in the restaurant knew about who was in the VIP room.

It was a lovely dinner, no doubt. Too bad it ended too fast.

Micha started seeing continuous camera flashes through the window and turned to her boyfriend.

He wiped his lips clean and stood up.

He grabbed her wrist and dragged her through the kitchen and out the back door.

A sea of paparazzi came running down the street.

“Do you trust me?” He asked.

“I do” She answered.

He got down in one knee, and removed her shoes.

“RUN!!!!”

Both bodies managed to escape the sea of predators.

“A night to remember?” He joked around.

“Damn right!” She answered.

It was as if reality froze for Junhyung—or as Micha said Jaesoon.

He stood up and took off his cap and his hoodie.

He took the glasses off afterwards.

Everyone thought they were dreaming when BEAST’S JOKER—YONG JUNHYUNG appeared out of the blue.

He ran outside with this hell of a lot of people behind him.

“MICHA!!!” He shouted.

“MICHAAA!”He tried to run, despite the cold drops of rain hitting his skin.

There she was. He knew right away, even being in a huge crowd—he was able to see her.

Running as fast as he could, he reached her.

She was holding this umbrella when Junhyung pulled her in a tight hug.

Micha froze with his presence, causing her to let go of her umbrella.

Now, both bodies were being attacked by rapid rain droplets.

“You’re one stupid woman.” Junhyung said, while he hugged her.

“You’re one hell of a jerk.”

“How can you let this jerk hurt you every time possible?” he asked.

“Call me stupid but I was head over heels in love with that jerk.”

“You are stupid. The jerk’s sorry for everything. For the secret dates, the constant mood swings and making you run for your dear life on our last anniversary.”

“Hmm. Apology accepted.” Micha smiled and looked up the sky.

“I’m really sorry I dragged you into a new different world, Micha.”

Micha looked down and held his hand.

“Whole new different world? Promise to be with me all the way?”

“I PROMISE.”

“KISS HER!!!”said one person from the crowd that came from the café.

“Well, chagiya. My job’s to ALWAYS PLEASE the crowd. WHAT THE CROWD WANTS, THE CROWD GETS”

“ MERONG!!!” Micha answered.

Junhyung turned to the crowd  “She said NO!”

“I didn’t exactly say NO,” she told the crowd.

Junhyung turned back with a shocked look.

“WHAT THE CROWD WANTS, THE CROWD GETS” Micha had a huge smile on, as she grabbed his neck and kissed him passionately.

Dumbfounded Junhyung ended the kiss.

“I can’t believe you did that in front of the crowd.”

“Publicity’s a small price to pay—when I’m dating Beast’s Rapper, Yong Junhyung.”
