New Year party part 1

No one's POV:

Christmas had almost instantly passed, by the time Jongin's ten days were up he collapsed onto his bed at SooMan's house and lived the life of a slug for the next few days. Kyungsoo was just glad to get home and have longer sleeping times instead of having to worry himself over essays. Xiumin ate so many steamed buns... he was sick the next day... Christmas Day... silly Xiumin...

"Kyungsoo can you come here for a second" his mum called from the living room as Kyungsoo came running in and frowned when he saw his mum and dad getting their coats on
"Where are you guys going?" he asked them
"Out for a party my boss is throwing" his dad replied
"And what about our party?" Kyungsoo asked and his mum smiled
"Me and your father both think you're mature enough to have a house party with your friends" she replied and Kyungsoo's eyes widened
"R-really?" he asked and his parents nodded in reply before walking to the front door
"Keep the place presentable, we'll be back just after midnight" his mum called before the sound of the door clicking shut and Kyungsoo rubbing his temples
'Chanyeol is going to ruin the place' he thought and jumped feet when he smelt something burning
"MY BUNS!".

"I'm coming" Kyungsoo called as the doorbell rang and he ran to the door
"You're early" he shouted and Kris stood their frowning
"You wrote on the paper to be here at this time" he replied, showing Kyungsoo the slip of paper and he sighed
"Touché, well come in" he said and pulled Kris in before the boy could say anything else
"Aren't your parents here?" Kris asked and Kyungsoo shook his head
"They're actually trusting me to go solo" he replied
"You do know if Chanyeol gets any booze down him this place will be ruined" Kris said and Kyungsoo nodded
"Don't I know it" he replied and then there was another knocked as his eyes widened... what if that was Tao?

"Just a second" Kyungsoo called and turned to Kris
"Go to my room" he said and Kris' eyes widened
"Why?" he asked and Kyungsoo sighed
"Just do it and wait until I call you back down" he replied and Kris frowned
"Please?"
"Which one is it?" Kris asked
"First door on the right next to the bathroom" Kyungsoo replied and Kris slowly made his way upstairs whilst Kyungsoo calmed himself down and opened the door.

When he opened the door, he paused and his eyes widened when he saw Jongin the other side, ever since Jongin had kissed him Kyungsoo couldn't get the feeling of him, throughout the whole Christmas holidays the two hadn't spoken or attempted to keep in contact with each other... now that they were both staring at each other... it was like they were meeting each other all over again
"H-hey" Kyungsoo said and silently cursed himself for stuttering
"Hi" Jongin replied soflty and the two continued to stare at each other, saying nothing until a cold air whipped past them and Kyungsoo saw Jongin shiver a little
"Oh right, come in it's cold" Kyungsoo said and stepped aside as Jongin quickly stepped into the house and shook the cold of him
"So how have you been?" Jongin asked turning to face him
"Fine... you?" Kyungsoo replied and Jongin nodded but before he could say anything there was another knock at the door.

When Kyungsoo opened it he let out a quick scream when he felt someone envelope him into a hug and squeeze the air out of him
"GOD I'VE MISSED YOU!" Chanyeol shouted and Kyungsoo hugged him back
"I missed you to... now let me breathe" he replied and Chanyeol finally released him from his hug before stepping into the house, quickly followed by Baekhyun, Luhan and Sehun- freshly out of the hospital and ready to start anew. One by one everyone else started arriving and soon the party was slowly getting underway, any awkwardness that was between people before the holidays looked like it was gone and now it looked like everyone could relax and enjoy the party.

"Tao come here" Kyungsoo called and Tao walked over and dumped with coats
"Take these up to my room" Kyungsoo said and Tao's eyes widened
"Why do I have to do it?" he asked and Kyungsoo glared at him
"Because I'm polite enough to invite you around" he replied and Tao sighed before asking him where his room was and quickly made his way up. Meanwhile, Kris was still in the room becomign increasingly moody, thinking that Kyungsoo had forgotten that he had told him to hide in the room when the door opened
'Finally' he thought but froze and his eyes widened when he saw Tao walking in with the coats, chucking them onto the bed.

"There we-" he began but froze himself when he saw Kris
"What are you doing here?" he asked
"Kyungsoo invited me and told me to wait up here" Kris replied
"Bit weird" Tao said
"Kyungsoo's a weird boy" Kris replied and Tao couldn't help but smile a little
"Look Tao I'm so-"
"I know" Tao interrupted and Kris frowned
"Know what?" he asked
"About you and your dad and the real reason you left"...

"Buns are ready" Kyungsoo called and whilst everyone else ran forward, Xiumin sat in his seat groaning
"No more" he said and Sehun frowned
"What's wrong with him?" he asked
"He made a pig of himself Christmas Eve with steamed buns and was sick the next day" Chen replied, earning a smack from Xiumin
"It was hell" he said and everyone laughed
"What's taking Tao so long up there?" asked Luhan
"Probably in the toilet" Kyungsoo replied shrugging the comment of and going back to the kitchen, Jongin following him.

"You're lying" he said and Kyungsoo frowned
"About what?" he asked
"Knowing what Tao is doing" Jongin replied and Kyungsoo sighed
"Fine he's upstairs in my room talking to Kris" he said and Jongin raised an eyebrow
"Oh really?" he asked and Kyungsoo nodded
"But don't tell the others" he said and Jongin made a motion to say his lips were sealed.

"I haven't seen you in a while" Joonmyun heard someone say and when looked up saw Yixing looking at him
"Hello to you to" Joonmyun replied and Yixing sat down next to him smiling
"How have you been?" he asked
"Fine... laughed a lot when dad fell in a pond on Jeju Island and laughed even more when he walked into a window but later turned out he broke his nose in the process... how about you?" Joonmyun replied
"Good, bored over the holidays... especially with your grandmother telling you a story about how she met your grandfather over and over again" Yixing replied and the two of them began laughing whilst Chen glared at them from the other side of the room.

"You alright?" Xiumin asked and Chen nodded
"Fine" he replied through gritted teeth as he continued to watch the other two... was he jealous? Jealous that Yixing had Joonmyun and Chen... he had no one? That was when Joonmyun reached out and ran his thumb over Yixing's cheek
"You had some food there" he said whilst Yixing blushed
"Th-thanks" he replied and Chen rolled his eyes getting up
"I'm leaving" he said and got up, walking away
"Chen wait" Xiumin called and Joonmyun turned around to watch the boy walk out
"I'll be right back" he said to Yixing and got up to follow Chen out...
