“It’s always going to be Myungsoo. It’s always going to be him, Jongdae.”

Even when he knows this, even when he knows she’s going to choose him in this life and next – it still hurts all the same. It still kills him inside, and his heart is still stabbed mercilessly with the cold hard truth.

No matter how hard he tries, he can never get the image of her face out of his mind. No matter how badly he wishes for it to go away, her sweet angelic laughter will always be echoing his thoughts – taunting him every minute of the day. And no matter how badly he yearns to forget her, he knows that is one hope that can never be fulfilled.

Jongdae loves her – and he will always love her. For him, it’s only going to be Son Naeun; and if he can’t have her, he’d rather live in solitude for the rest of his life.

He knows and he’s come to accept it. He’s come to accept the fact that Naeun will never fall out of love with his best friend, Myungsoo.
