HYOSUNG's POV

It's been a month. And maybe, just maybe, if it happened, at this very moment, I'm making lunch for my supposed-to-be husband. Who knew? In reality, I'm here all alone outside our balcony, inhaling the fresh ocean water. Yet, it gives me so much memory of me and him. I guess love really is blind

"Auntie bubbles! Auntie bubbles!" cheerful voices knocked me off my feet, bringing me back to shore

"H-huh.?" I blinked, turning around to see Stan and Stacey running towards me. My adorable ball of fun nephew and niece "Oh, where's your appa.?"

"Hey baby sister" Yongguk, my brother, greeted me with that same gummy smile of mine

"Oppa" I smiled back, closing my eyes as he kissed my forehead "Where's Jieun?"

"We just came back from the terminal because umma had to go out of town because grandma is sick" Stacey pouted

"Oh yeah, she did say something about going back to the province" I nodded "Is Auntie alright?"

He hummed, ruffling my hair "Umma just got the flu. Now don't worry okay.?"

"I didn't even say anything"

"You don't have to say anything. I can clearly see the look in your face"

I rolled my eyes, smiling 

"Always looking out for someone rather than herself" 

"Is there something wrong about it.?"

"Sometimes"

"No there isn't" I protested

"Maybe you should be a babysitter" he joked

"Yeah right" I scoffed "And my dream to become a high-class fashion designer would just have to wait.?"

"We don't know sis. You're kind of the perfect babysitter"

"Thank you" I grinned

"Of course you'd say that" he smiled, shaking his head "By the way, where's umma.?"

"Probably in her room, changing. She's off to the grocery store"

Just right on cue, mother appeared on the balcony as she fixed herself "Well, I'm off to the the grocery Hyo. When you're brother arrives, tell hi---"

"Granny Ah Hyun!!" Both Stan and Stacey beamed, running towards their grandmother

"Oh, my precious angels" Umma grinned "I missed you so much"

"We missed you too granny" they giggled

Yongguk and I laughed as we watched the 3 of them. Just then, Yongguk wrapped an arm around my shoulder, tilting our heads together "Umma, I thought WE were your angels"

"So riiigghhtt!" I pouted, hugging him by the waist

Umma gasped, smiling at us "Oopps. Looks like someone needs the ultimate shower kiss" 

All of us laughed as umma showered us with multiple kisses. Everyday I enjoy these moments with my family. We may not be counted as rich, but we can't be counted as poor either, just average. Sure Yongguk had a good job and so does Jieun, but it's not enough to support our family and their own.

And umma only has little income with her starting small restaurant and my little brother HyunWoo just stepping into college yet. So many things to pay for. I'm just glad that I was able to buy this great beach house for them. I've used up all my savings to buy this one. Never left a single cent for myself because I know I would be married to a good man, or so I thought.

And me? Well, I'm a piano teacher, for now. Lucky for me that quite many teenagers and kids are trying to learn piano and so that's where I step in. Occasionaly  going to their house and teaching them 2-3 hours a day. It's tiring especially when it's the student's first time to actually see or even touch a piano. My my. But still, it's fun

"Okay, we're off to the market. Anything you want me to buy for you?" Umma asked

Yongguk shook his head, sitting on the couch "It's all in the list umma. Stan and Stacey, be good to your granny, okay.?"

"Neehh!" they nodded, holding onto their granny's hand as they left "Bye appa! Bye Auntie bubbles!"

"Bye" I waved 

"Silence at last" Yongguk sighed

"Oppa, when is Jieun coming back?"

"She'll be back after 2 weeks"

"That's kinda long. Won't you and the kids visit her there?"

"The kids have school"

"Oh yeah I forgot. Well, I can look out for them if you want"

"Why?" 

"So that you can visit your wife. Duuhh"

"I also have work baby sis. Duuuhh" he mocked

"More important than your wife?" I teased

"Are you trying to get rid of me?"

I chuckled "Is it working?" 

"Fortunately, NO" he smirked, sticking out his tongue "Why are you so eager to get rid of me anyway?"

"I'm NOT getting rid of you. I just want you to have a little vacation. That's all. You seem so tired lately"

"Aaaaaawwww. My baby sis is worried about me. Why am I not surprised" he said as he embraced me in a crushing hug "My baby sis is sooooooooo sweeettt"

"Oppa!" I struggled, screaming out loud as continued to tickle me "L-let g-go!"

"Whoah! Whoah! Whoah!" a voice interrupted us

Yongguk and I froze and turned our heads towards the door, only to see our dongsaeng, HyunWoo, furrowing his eyebrows with his arms crossed over his chest

"Hyung! Baby noona! You're no fun!" he frowned

"Wae.?" Yongguk's smile only got wider

"For leaving me all alone in that super hug!" he grinned, running towards us on the couch and joining us with our smashing hugs "I wanna cuddle tooooo!"

DAEHYUN's POV

"HyunJung, heres the files that Mr. Kim needs for tomorrows meeting about the HR proposal. I want you to have it photocopied so that all the executives who will be there can have their own copy" 

"Yes sir" my secretary nodded

"Oh and how's the research paper I assigned you?

"I'm still working on it sir."

"How long will that take? I NEED that research paper, pronto"

"It will be done today sir. I'll be able to give it to you tomorrow morning"

"Good" I sighed

"Is there anything else you need sir?"

"No. You can leave"

"Okay sir. Oh and sir, your meeting with Mr. Choi will start in 30 minutes"

"Okay. Thank you"

"You're welcome sir"

Just before she could walk out of my office, the door bursted out open

"Daddy!" my 7 year old daughter greeted me, sitting on my lap

"Oh baby. Why are you in daddy's office.?"

"Sorry dad. Lauren wanted to see you" Sungjae, my 17 year old son, sighed

"Hey dad" Eunji, my 16 year old daughter, pecked my cheek "Lauren said something about going out to dinner"

"What?" I looked at the 2 of them then to Lauren who was beaming "B-baby, daddy can't. I have a meeting with Mr. Choi"

"Y-you promised" she whispered. Oh crap, now I think she's gonna cry

"Promised.?" I repeated. Then I remembered that I really did promise her last night when she gained 3 stars for her drawing in school that we'll go out for dinner 

"Um baby. Maybe next time" Sungjae walked closer to us, taking Lauren in his arms "If you want, we can just play your favorite game"

"Yes baby" Eunji smiled, trying to lighten up the mood "And after that, we can sleep in Sungjae oppa's room and watch a movie together. Do you want that baby.?"

Lauren remained quiet for a moment. After a few seconds, she nodded her head, hugging Sungjae, looping her arms around his neck

Sungjae and Eunji both smiled at me, signaling that they understand. But I didn't. I promised Lauren that I'll be having dinner with them. And a promise is a promise. My children first before work "HyunJung"

"Yes sir.?"

"Reschedule the meeting with Mr. Choi tonight. Tell him I had something important else to do"

"Okay sir" HyunJung smiled and left

With that, Lauren faced me, smiling widely as Sungjae set her down and she came back running towards me

"Now, where does my kids want to eat?"

"Lee-an's Steak house!" Sungjae and Eunji cheered

"Dessert Factory" Lauren mumbled making as all laugh

"If that's what my baby wants. Let's go" I smiled

( Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I survived the first chapter .. Was it okay.? >__< And Lee Hyunwoo as the dongsaeng! He's such a cuuttiiieee <3 But Daehyun's part was utterly shooorrtt .. Tsk)
