Chapter 18
Falling in love with the EnemyDaehyun's POV
Last night I screwed up, big time. And I feel so bad about it. I just need to prove to Hana that that will never happen again.
And also that I don't need Zico to become her hero.
Actually, today is Youngjae's birthday, he just wanted everyone to be with him the whole day on his birthday.
"Dude, you never told us how you got that bruise on your face." Jongup states while we're eating lunch.
"Uhm I tripped earlier, you know how clumsy I can be." I chuckle nervously.
"Oh ok." Jongup gives me a suspicious stare then goes back to his food.
"Ok, here's the cake!" Yongguk comes in the room holding a cake.
"I thought we would save it for tonight." Youngjae says.
"No, we're going out tonight." Yongguk asks.
"Is it cheesecake?!" I exclaim.
Youngguk scoffs, "No." he says which makes me frown.
Then we gather around Youngjae, with the cake in front of him.
"Fattie." I hear Hana whisper beside me which makes me pinch her waist and then she gasps in surprise.
Hana earns confused stares from about the whole room, which makes me let out a soft chuckle, "The cake. Is huge." she points to the medium sized cake in front of Youngjae.
After everyone goes back to what they were doing, Hana punches my rib.
"Try harder next time." I say.
Then the lights go out and everyone starts singing happy birthday.
Damn it. I need a present for him.
I'll just go shopping later and give it to him tonight.
After singing, the lights go back on and we all cheer.
I saw Hana with a smile on her face, was I that evil last night, to ruin that smile? I maybe as well called the devil.
I decided to go out on the porch to blow off some steam.
It was really cold out there, but I still liked this weather, I leaned againse the patio fence, just gazing at a distance.
I still can't believe I did what I did last night. I'm such a hypocrite, I would've destroyed her life. What is wrong with me?
"Hey." I see Hana beside me with two wine glasses.
"Isn't it a little bit early for this?" I ask.
"So?" she asks.
I then grab one of the glasses and start drinking.
"How can you look at me?" I ask.
"Huh?" she asks in confusion.
"Since last night. How can you even talk to me? How do you have that much esteem?" I ask.
"I don't know." she says.
