She came to me during life's thunderstorm.

I was crying outside the school gates.

They say they hated me.

They say I was a waste of space at school.

I was an eyesore to everyone. 

At home, mom and dad kept on fighting. 

I had no place to shelter on.

I had no one's wings to be under.

I was bad luck to everyone.

I kept on crying until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked up to see a girl curiously looking at me.

She opened her pink bag, and hold out a napkin to me.

I slapped her hand away. 

She took the napkin again, and gave it to me again.

I slapped it away again.

Her lips still curved in that heartwarming smile,

took the napkin again.

This time she didn't give it to me.

She slowly wipes my tears with her napkin.

I felt warm under her touch.

"I'm bad luck, you better go before you also get it."

She still wipes away the tears.

"Why don't you go?" I grunted.

She stops wiping my tears, and looks at me.

"Even if you're bad luck, I'd like to be with you."

I looked at her in shock.

She gave me a smile that reached her eyes.

"Don't worry, everything's going to be alright."

I knew it was a lie.

Yet, seeing the innocent face of this girl,

I chose to believe it.

At least, when I'm with her.

Cheers erupted from the crowd.

I felt the energy,

It was overwhelming.

The encouragement.

The admiration.

The love.

On stage, I could dance my heart and soul out.

I could be expressive, 

I was loved,

for who I truly am.

But none of that matter,

rather than the girl right in front of me.

She embraced me in a warm hug.

Right there I felt her wings enveloping me.

A guardian angel protecting me, and loving me for the way I am.

We went out to have dinner in celebration of another successful stage.

She said she wanted to have ice cream, so she crossed the street to buy one for us.

I smiled.

My heart was warm and contented with everything right now.

I was doing what I love,

and I had people who loved me.

Then the next thing, everything happened in fast motion.

She was crossing the street heading to me,

when a car's screech ruined the night's state of tranquility.

My foot reacted on its own.

She had always been my guardian angel.

Her wings were the one I took shelter under.

But now, it's my turn.

Even if today I breath my last breath,

I'm happy.

Because for once in my life,

I've fallen in love with the perfect angel.
