Chapter 1

Abduction

I was gonna retype the first part of this but I can't remember what I wrote.  -.- sooo, basically until I remember I'll just repost what I had before. ^^ (it was essentially how changmin was captured, maybe I'll just put it in the second chapter later ^^;)

When Changmin woke it was with a tortured groan. His body was in an awkward position, sitting on a hard surface and there was a noticeable resistance when he tried to move his arms and legs. His eyes burned when he opened them and he blinked furiously to try and alleviate the pain. His head ached and he felt a little weak as well.

Changmin peered down at himself and noticed the ropes that currently kept him from moving, and tried to stretch against the bindings, but they did little but bite further into his skin. He grunted and looked around, attempting to get his bearings.

Hee Sung, his manager, was lying on the ground in the opposite corner of the room unmoving.

He felt a pressure behind his eyes building that wasn’t related to there current stinging and squeezed his eyelids shut. There was absolutely no proof that his manager hyung was dead. He couldn’t think that he might be dead. He just might go slightly insane.

He tried to shift the chair he was bound to, legs and arms strapped to the arms and legs of the wooden, uncomfortable monstrosity. It rocked slightly with his movement, and with a second of delirious hope he craned his neck to see if there was some broken glass behind him that he could attempt to grab and use to break the rope around his wrists, like you see in those thrillers when the character is tied up as a hostage.

Of course, as he expected, there was no such sharp object anywhere near him, his chair practically against the wall behind him. The room is actually spotless, and with the right furniture, would of made the perfect size for a home office.

It was painted a light grey, and looked more like a typical room in a typical office building then some kind of underground dungeon. He supposed thats why he felt more at ease, and incredulous with the...situation. It was windowless, which could have been a problem if he was claustrophobic, and was lit from a lone tall lamp in the opposite corner from his stationary position.

Changmin grit his teeth and tried rocking his chair again. Cursing when it did little but cause a jolt in his stomach when it started to tip backwards.

This situation was unreal. Exactly how was he supposed to react?! The academy doesn't exactly prepare its attendees for these kinds of situations. Somehow he didn't think clapping and stomping his feet while laughing hysterically was going to get himself home.

He instantly straightened from his useless attempts of freedom when the knob of the door jiggled, and opened suddenly.

Someone walked in. They had on a black hoodie, with a face mask that covered their nose and mouth that was designed with the jaw of a skull. It left the top portion of their face visual. Their black hair fell into equally dark eyes, which pierced through the strands.

Changmin ignored the sweat forming on his brow, eyes following down their body carefully. He froze mid-search when he reached the strangers legs, and swallowed his fear.

There was a gun strapped to their left thigh.

Changmin eyes stayed glued to the weapon, and didn’t move an inch.

However, the masked man, as it had to be a man with that height and build barely looked at him. Ignoring Changmin's intense stare, instead he walked straight over to his manager, still motionless on the ground. Changmin wanted to protest, ask the masked stranger ‘What the hell are you doing this for?’, but his tongue stuck in his throat, his heart pounding as he couldn't take his eyes off the weapon strapped to the other's leg. He could only watch with a strained expression as the man in the black hoodie hooked his arms under his manager's and dragged him to the door.

Feeling like a complete coward, Changmin tried to quell the urge to kick something, as his legs were still bound tightly. However, at least knew Hee Sung-hyung was alive, and released a breath he didn’t know he was holding. He had seen his manager's chest rise just as he was dragged out of sight.

He was still breathing at least. Thank goodness for that.

The door was closed behind them without a second glance. He was in the corner against the wall the door was in, so he couldn’t see what exactly was going on outside of the room.

Changmin closed his eyes and concentrated when he heard a few hushed voices, but couldn't make out anything distinguishable. He wanted desperately to wipe the sweat dripping down his forehead to trail down his neck into his collared shirt.

Why had these people brought him here?! Did they want money? It had to be money, these guys certainly didn’t seem like deranged fans or even anti’s.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrring~

Changmin jerked back in his chair, his bounds pulling against the skin of his wrists again, making him wince. He didn’t focus on the pain though, but on the small illuminated square where his manager had lain just moments before.

His manager’s cell phone had fallen out of his pocket before he had been dragged out of the small room.  It was in the darkest corner, so it made sense that the man who had dragged him away hadn’t noticed it.

For a moment, Changmin felt multiple emotions rush through him, the most intense the foolish hope thought he would be saved. But that was stupid. His was tied to a chair with his hands and legs bound. He wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. He watched pitifully, with a frustrated expression as the phone blinked 'Incoming Call'.

In the back of his mind he felt a tinge of fear that the sound of the phone would bring back the man with the gun, but right now all he could focus on was the stupid flashing beacon of hope.

"WHAT'S GOING ON IN THERE?!"

Changmin looked up in shock when there was a harsh knocking at his door, accompanying the sharp yell.

A second later a taller man, much larger then the first, opened the plain wooden door and stepped towards the sound. He had a swept up hairstyle and a black, sleeveless shirt that gave Changmin a clear look at his menacing biceps. He immediately spotted the innocent cell phone on the ground and gripped it in one of his strong looking hands. Changmin could do nothing but watch. The kidnapper could hardly find a way to put the blame on him, he was tied up, right? He watched as the kidnapper stood there, holding the innocent piece of technology like he was Superman and it was his Kryptonite. For a second, Changmin thought the man was going to crush it using the strength of his fingers alone. Instead, he did the unexpected and Changmin watched closely, disbelieving, as the stranger used his other finger to sweep the lock away and answered the call.

“...Yeobosayo? Hello?” Changmin swallowed uncontrollably at the noticeably deep voice. It fit the other's intimidating image perfectly.

"Changmin-ah, where are you guys? Hyung told me you were still stuck in traffic--"

Changmin felt a drop of sweat drip down the side of his face.

Dear lord, could this get any worse?

"Who is this?" The stranger gritted his teeth. Changmin could read the frustration on the others face alone. If Changmin had not been in a situation where it might be life or death, he would have made a quip about manners.

"....um, are you one of Changdola’s friends?" Yunho paused for a moment at the unexpected voice, then continued on amiably. Changmin wished he was in a position to be able to smack his Hyung. Was the other truly an idiot? Did he not hear the obvious dislike or danger in the other's voice?!

In some corner of this...prison, a bell like sound pinged through the walls. Changmin watched the tall man in front of him, jerk and spin to face the door. He was still holding the phone to his ear, and if he gripped it any tighter, Changmin was certain it would break.

"Yes...?" The menacing man responded after a pause, now giving the still open door a startled look. Changmin could hear a few shouts and shuffling outside the hall and desperately wished he knew what was going on outside of the small room.

"...oh, good, ok then,” Yunho paused in his own response, seeming to pick up on the emotion in the others voice. He continued a little more guarded, “I guess Changminnie and Hee Sung-hyung must have gotten lost or something. That's why they're with you right? Well, since you're a friend you must know he is very busy, we've actually got a schedule in thirty minutes. I came to pick him up, and since we both have that tracker app on our phone--and managers too--I was able to find your house. I actually just rang the doorbell--"

The maknae jerked, his ears straining to hear the rest of Yunho’s words.

What did his hyung just say?!

The tall man immediately left the room, slamming the door shut with a bang, his loud footsteps echoing down the..hallway? Then there was a creaking sound, as if someone had opened an ancient wooden door from below. Changmin concentrated as best as he could to hear what was going on, his panic growing. Squeezing his eyes shut and attempting to shift closer to the wall behind him.

"--Oh! Hello, I'm Jung Yunho. It's nice to meet you."

Changmin’s heart stopped.

No.
