"Morning Kyu," 

"Oh. Hi hyung," 

"When did you come back home last night? I didn't hear you," Donghae asked while thanking Kyuhyun since the younger poured the milk into his glass 

"It was around 11 I think, you were sleeping though," 

"Ah.. Thanks for moving me to Ryeowook's bed, or else I would’ve get cramps in the morning, glad that Wook went home, it would be suffocating for you to take me to 12th floor," Donghae smiled and gulping down the milk but Kyuhyun frowned as he heard the older thanked him 

"Morning.." Hyukjae walked approaching the kitchen as he took a bowl and a box of his favorite cereal.  Donghae who was calmly chatting with Kyuhyun suddenly frozen. He just rubbed on his fingers to the glass he was holding.

"Breakfast anyone?" Hyukjae offered the cereal box to the latters but only got silent as response. 

"Kyu, I'll go back to upstairs.. Thanks for last night," Donghae left his seat and walked to the front door  Kyuhyun just nodded and bid goodbye to his dearest hyung. He glanced at Hyukjae who was enjoying his breakfast and sighed

"You were the one who moved him to Ryeowook's room didn't you?" Kyuhyun asked, meanwhile Hyukjae was only in his silence, pretending to be busy with his bowl of breakfast 

"Fools.." Kyuhyun rolled his eyes and left the older in the dining room 

"Yah you little bastard!"

"You guys are serious about this unit right?" Their manager asked while Donghae was busy with his ipod meanwhile Hyukjae nodded in their way to a photoshoot for their latest unit promotion

"Donghae-yah, are you listening to me? Kids, at least respect me a bit since i'm your nanny here," the manager sighed.

Donghae didn't hear what the manager said but he read the manager's face and quickly pulled off the headset of his ears menwhile Hyukjae did the opposite, he shook his head in disbelief and put on his headset ignoring the conversation between Donghae and their manager.

"Sorry hyung, I was kinda immersed to my new project,"

"Nah it's fine,"

"What did you say earlier hyung?" Donghae asked the manager back

"Are you serious about this unit? I mean, you guys already have packed schedule, I know you guys are being professional but I'll just remind both of you about your health,"

"Nah it's fine hyung, I don't have any schedule beside this unit, I think it would be good for both of us, I can compose more songs and Hyuk can explore his singing ability more than rap, and company will get more profits," Donghae laughed

"I thought you guys agreed to it because both of you needs 'a quality time' together as EunHae," the manager teased

"what are you saying hyung? We're working, what is EunHae seriously, that only works on stage, Hyuk won't be happy hear about it, he has a girlfriend remember?" Donghae replied and without Donghae and the manager realized, Hyukjae held his phone tighter as he felt something clenched inside his chest. He didn't know what it was.

They were arrived at the studio which they were going to take a photo shoots for a magazine. Just both of them. Eunhyuk and Donghae. Donghae opened the door of the car and Hyukjae did the same on the different side but a bit harshly. He walked away first then Donghae followed him from the back.

“What’s wrong with you?” Donghae murmured not too far from Hyukjae’s back trying not to get the answer from the older

“What’s wrong with me?” Hyukjae turned around and looked at Donghae who was stood still, kind of regretting everything he said earlier

“Nah, you mishea-”

“Shouldn’t I have to be the one who ask you with that question?”

“What?”

“Now you’re asking me? Wait, let me correct this part.. Lee Donghae, what’s wrong with you? You’ve been avoiding me with no reasons at all, you’ve been accepting me as your partner for this damn SJ unit but you’re avoiding me as if I’m disease or something like that.. What’s wrong with you?”

“I’m not avoiding you,”

“Right, is it because I’m in a relationship?” Hyukjae asked bravely not realizing there were some people passing by, thank God they were still in their casual clothes so people did not really recognize them as celebrity

Donghae did not answer Hyukjae.

“Or because those random comments you’ve read before on internet, seriously Donghae?”

“Hyuk, let’s not make a scene here,”

Hyukjae took a look around him and found some people were looking at them and probably wondering who they were fighting in public.

“Fine, forget it,”

Donghae slammed his bedroom door and threw himself to his respective bed. He chose to come back to his own apartment. He realized if he decided to going back to their dorm, Hyukjae probably would give him uncomfortable glances.

Just when he tried to close his eyes for a while, a door bell ring could be heard. Donghae sighed and forced himself to get the door without checking on before who was at the door. Donghae opened the door lazily just to found Hyukjae standing in front of his door.

Donghae did not say a word at all to the person in front of him, instead he felt a bit awkward to welcoming him to his private apartment.

“Can I come in?”

“O- oh, yeah come in...” Donghae let Hyukjae came into his apartment

It was strange. Hyukjae was a frequent visitor to his own apartment, but that time Donghae felt sure either he himself or Hyukjae felt the awkward situation lingering around them. Hyukjae who was a guest usually threw himself on Donghae’s comfy couch as Donghae got something for them to eat or drink, but this time Hyukjae just stood there waiting for Donghae just to let him sit.

“Hyuk, you can sit there, I’ll take something for you to drink,” Donghae said as he walked approaching the kitchen

Donghae felt strange as hell. It was just about two hours ago Donghae bid goodbye to their manager (and Hyukjae who was seemed busy in his phone) after they were done with the photoshoot, and now the latter was here, in Donghae’s private apartment, acting all awkward and strange as if they were strangers who just knew each other about a few minutes ago.

“There, sorry... We’re running out of milk, I just found out, hyung didn’t tell me, I think he hasn’t got time to buy some,” Donghae said as he served Hyukjae a glass of cold juice and tring to melt the tense atmosphere as well

“As expected,” Hyukjae murmured then smile a bit when unfortunately Donghae turned around to get something

“So.. What are you doing here Hyuk?” Donghae braved himself to start another conversation

“Is it wrong for me to visit my best friend?” Hyukjae asked

“Your best friend who has been avoiding you for these few days, well.. yeah, that’s totally not wrong,” Donghae replied as Hyukjae could hear a bit tone of sarcasm in it

“tsk, seriously... Lee Donghae,”

“What do you want Hyuk? I’m not asking for a fight here nor asking to make a scene earlier in the studio,”

Hyukjae sat still and looking at the glass on the table as if the inanimate object was totally interesting rather than the younger guy in front of him.

“Let’s be honest,”

Donghae raised his sight to the slightly older guy and started wondering what exactly the words the latter wanted to say.

“Let’s be honest about what exactly happening between us,”

“What?”

“I don’t get what is actually happening around us,” the older said

Donghae sat still and trying to find a way to explain to the older.

“You’re avoiding me, people looking at me as if I’m the bad one, you said yes for this thing they called unit, but you’re treating me as if I’m no one....”

“Hyuk...”

“It’s confusing Hae,”

Donghae was still in his silence as he digested what Hyukjae had said earlier. He actually kind of questioning about Hyukjae calling their so called unit as something like . Was it only something random cuss or that was actually what inside Hyukjae’s mind.

“To be honest...”

Hyukjae raised his head as he heard the younger started to speak

“I told you that it seems like we’re liars...”

“Liars?”

“Pretending to be all lovey dovey, inseparable, full of caring and loving to each other... That’s when the camera is on,”

Hyukjae was listening to the younger carefully.

“I bet you must be feel uncomfortable right, I don’t wish for people thinking as if you’re the bad one if there’s something happened outside which involving you and your relationship, but as I think more and more, that’s all because we’ve been lying to them...”

“You know it’s all planned since the beginning, why bother to think of it now Lee Donghae?!” Hyukjae raised his voice tone without him realizing

“I know it’s all planned, very well planned, but I don’t think we can do it forever, I mean... there should be a ‘huge wall’ between us for on stage situation and off stage situation,”

“Huh? Funny, now you’re asking for a ‘wall’ between us? What’s the use of that?”

“Hyuk you don’t realize it, it makes you worse... you probably don’t realize about it till now, but everytime there’s a rumour about you and some random girls, I’ll be the one who gets the attention and pity, if you think carefully, it’s more funny,” Donghae released a forced laugh

“What?”

“Nobody care about the girl who involved into your rumour, and for your information Lee Hyukjae... even most of our juniors are questioning about our relationship,”

“What do you mean?”

“I told you, this relationship is way too far, no wonder if people believe in us. Even our juniors who’s also doing it couldn’t differentiate it as well... I just want to make things clear for you, us and our fans, they’re drown too deep... I don’t want to hurt them for more and more,”

Hyukjae frowned as he heard what the younger had said. Drown too deep.

“So what do you want now?” Hyukjae asked but there was a tone of challenging inside it

“Let’s make sure, people could differentiate us clearly when it’s time for jobs and for private,” Donghae said

“And how can we do that? Company would fire us as soon as they found out the biggest and the hottest couple in the company are not in relationship,” Hyukjae said in mocking tone

“Let’s start with something simple like, who’s the one in relationship with you, or who's the one in relationship with me,”

“Isn’t that more like I’m telling you everything about my current relationship?” Hyukjae asked hesitantly

 “No, I will not care about any relationship you have, it’s more like... so I can talk and act more carefully to you, especially in front of your special one,”

Hyukjae did not know why, the way Donghae said it all, had made him angry somehow. He took the glass in front of him and looking at the younger.

“And why is that?” Hyukjae asked once again

“It’s because I know you’re tired of it and it’s the manner of business couple after all,”

omg I'm here... in this story ;~; it's almost a YEAR since the last update of this story. I've been neglecting this story because I have no angsty feel to write. And thanks to subscribers who has been waiting for this to be updated, I feel bad, really.

I think I'll end this one asap.
