Chapter six : The audition (part 1)

 

 

" And you? "

" And I? What do you mean? "

" Your-your name ... "

" Ah ... Excuse me. I'm Kai and the others are Sehun, Lu Han and Lay. These are my friends. "

" I ... thank you for saving me from the boys ... "

" Do you hurt anywhere? " I asked

" N-no, I'm fine ... "

" Come on, let in a hotel! She must be changed because her clothes are torn and dirty.... " said Lu Han

" Yes, let's go! Kai take care of her. " said Lay

" M-Me? Lay why not? "

" I would have done it gladly, but I'm exhausted! "

" I can leave if I disturb you ... " replied the girl

" No word. Come with us, we will treat you! " replied Lu Han smiling

" T-Thank you so much for everything ... "

" No problem! "

   We went towards a hotel. To keep her from getting cold, I lent her my jacket. Even if this girl was not the one I wanted, I felt that I had met her before. On the road we met Kris and Suho. They were looking for us since Luhan called them. We continued our journey by car. Kris driving the car.
   Arrived at the Peabody hotel, I took the hand of Soo Yeon and accompanied her to the bathroom. Throughout the journey, she had not spoken. She always had her head down.

" You can take a shower now! I'll get some clothes. "

" Thanks a lot Kai-sshi ... "

" Do not be formal with me! Just call me Kai! "

" Okay Kai. "

" That's better! " I replied with a smile

" Yeah, I think so too. " she replied, smiling

   She had a beautiful smile.

Point of view of Jessica

  When Kai was gone, I closed the door of the bathroom and assured me it was closed. I crouched on the ground in order to think and cry freely. I made sure not to cry too hard so they do not hear me. This was the first time in my life somebody saved me. Aside from Tiffany, nobody helped me. Nobody loved me. I'm a dead leaf, ready to disappear forever. I can not stand to live like this. Why so much hate? What have I done to deserve this? Why don't I have a quiet life like the others ? Why am I daily faced with insults? Nobody can answer me unfortunately.
   A few minutes later, having wiped my tears, I got up and looked at the mirror. I was horrified by the image of the mirror. My clothes were in a pitiful state and I was very ugly like that. Who could love a girl like me? I went on to take a  fresh shower. I wanted to remove all the dirt that the boys had made on me. All this is due just to a place in the canteen ...  
   I am now finally clean. I put the bathrobe put at my disposal and took a deep breath before opening the door and exit. Calm, calm down. You can tell them about everything you want Jessica. They are not bad. Be natural  like with Tiffany.

" D-D-Does anyone ha-have clothes to lend for me-me please? "

Mission failed. I'm too shy.

" Oh, sorry! Here, this is for you! This is a very long T-shirt! " said the baby-faced man

" T-Thank you very much but could you rather lend me a T-shirt with long sleeves please? " I asked

" B-But why? It is very hot ... "

" This is ... I do not want you to see my arms, that's all. "

" Okay, okay! Here, take this long sweater! "

" Lu Han-sshi. "

  I changed as soon as possible in the bathroom not to keep them waiting. They were all on the bed, looking bored. I think I have bothered them.

" Again thank you very much for saving me from these guys. "

" The pleasure is mine! "

" My name is Soo Yeon. I'm 18 and I live in California with my mother. " I continued

" I am Lay, I'm 21 years old. "

" Hi, my name is Sehun and I have the same age as you! "

" Lu Han, 22 years. "

" Kai, 19 years. "

" I am the leader of EXO-M and my name is Kris. I'm 22 years old! "

" And finally, I'm Suho, leader of EXO-K and I am 21 years old. "

" I am delighted to make your knowledge. Are you a band? " I asked, surprised

" Yes, we are a group called EXO! " said Kris

" Oh ... "

" Hey! Do you love music and dance? " asked Sehun

" Yes. In my school, we are divided by option. "

" What did you choose as an option? " asked Kai

 " Singing and dancing followed. "

" We found it! " yelled Sehun

" Found what? " asked Lu Han, surprised

" The girl we were looking for. She loves singing and dancing and she even lives in America. She surely speaks English very well and a lot! " explained Sehun

" You're right Sehun! No need to look further! " said Suho

" We will warn other members. Suho, accompany me. "

" Kris, why me? "

" Because I want! "

" See you tonight guys! " said Suho, pouting

   When Suho and Kris were gone, Lay, Sehun Kai and Luhan started staring at me while smiling. At first I didn't understand when Sehun said that they've found "the girl" that they sought. I was a little shocked at their reaction. I was especially uncomfortable. This was the first time I found myself alone in a quiet chat with boys. When Lay suddenly approached me, I instantly close my eyes and waited. But nothing. When I opened my eyes, he was beside me, staring at me. I blushed like a tomato. Nobody looked at me like this in high school.

" Why did you fear me? I was not going to hurt you. " he said, surprised at my reaction

" I-I'm sorry Lay-sshi. "

" Do not be formal with us! Just call us by our names. "

" Okay. " I replied, head bowed

" Do not always bow your head. You know you have a pretty face? " he said smiling at me

" It is true that she is really cute as a girl! " added Lu Han

" What do you think Hyung? " asked Sehun watching Kai

" Yes.  She's not bad. " he replied while continuing to watch the window

" Sorry! He is never like that. " said Lay

" I'm sure he thinks about that girl ... " teased Sehun

" What was her name again? " asked Lu Han

"Juliet? " began Lay

" No. Uh, why not Janey? It's cute is not it? " said Lu Han

" Ani! I think it is Jennika. " replied Sehun, happy to have found

" Jessica? " I asked to help them

   At this precise moment, Kai jumped. He then began to stare at me. As if he thought that the girl was me. Lay, Sehun and Luhan began to look at me. I was uncomfortable ...

Point of view of Kai

   Jessica. Why did she say that name when I was thinking about it? What a coincidence. Why is it that I think about her all the time? I'm so pissed...

" This is Jessica doesn't it Kai? " asked Sehun

I should forget her.

" Ani ... I don't give a hint. "

" I really thought she was Jessica, but too bad! "

" Hey Soo Yeon! Why did you have a sweater? It is very hot but ... " asked Lu Han

" Uh ... I-It is very hard to explain ... " she said. She started to close her eyes and cry silently

" Y-Y-Yah! Do not cry! I'm sorry! " replied Luhan, panicked that she was crying

" No, it's not your fault. I looked back at everything that happened a very long time ... I-I feel that I can trust you ... Promise me you will not tell anyone if I tell you everything ... " said Soo Yeon

" Promised Soo Yeon! " declared Sehun, Lay and Lu Han. I just nodded.

   She began to remove her sweater gently. At that time, everyone was shocked. I was shocked too. She had several injuries everywhere, huge bandages, several scars ... It scared me to see all the scars and injuries. I had a headache.

" As you can see, I have many wounds and scars all over my body ... Those injuries was about two days ago : I was in the canteen with my best friend when a group of girls wanted our place. We refused and the evening, they hit me. And today the boys who attacked you, were friends with these girls ... They wanted more that I suffer ... Just for a place ... " she said, head down and sobbing

" Your parents know that you endure all this? " asked Sehun

" No ... My father passed away two years ago. My mother began to do a depression and hitting me too because I looked like my father ... Every day I endure the same things :  we make fun of me at school, I get hit by everyone and my mother ... Sometimes I think that dying is a good solution but my best friend advised me to not doing that ... " she continued

   We were all sorry for her. I was disappointed to not be able to go as I wanted. I was being selfish. I did not think there would still be people who were intimidated like that. I really wanted to help from the beginning.

" I have an idea. Bring her to the SNSD-sunbae this evening! She may stay the night with them. " I told them

" Good idea Kai! " said Lay

" Come on now. It's getting late. It is already 7p.m .... I'm hungry. " said Sehun pouting

" I do not want to bother you ... I think I'll go home. "

" To you get hit by your mother again? No. You will stay with us for the moment. " said Lay

" But ... and school? "

" We'll call tomorrow! Anyway Lay, Lu Han and other people in the group are elderly. They may well call and say that you will not be there tomorrow. " explained Sehun

" T-Thank you very much. "

No point of view

   Soo Yeon and boys were expected wait Suho and Kris to lead them to their hotel. Throughout the trip, no one spoke. Everyone thought about the story of Soo Yeon. Even Sehun. Suho and Kris found it strange that no one spoke.

" Soo Yeon, why they're weird? " asked Kris

" I -I do not know Kris-sshi ... " she replied

" It does not matter. It's quiet at least. " continued Suho

   The ride was long because the hotel was located at the end of California. There were a lot of cars in that time.

" When we get there? I'm really hungry! " chuckled Sehun

" Soon. " replied Kris, calmly

   Arrived (finally) at the hotel, Sehun ran quickly to his hotel room to bring back then two packets of crisps Lays. He gave one packet for Soo Yeon because she also was hungry. After, they began to return to their respective rooms. Soo Yeon did not know who to follow when someone took her hand to take her to his room : room of Kai. As a gentleman, he let her pass first into his room. He gave him water and some cakes before joining the others. While Soo Yeon was visiting the hotel room of Kai, Kai went showered. Twenty minutes later, he came back changed.

" Let's go! " he said, smiling at her

" Yes! " she replied, smiling at him too

   When they arrived in the Great Hall, everyone was there: managers, SNSD and EXO. They talked among themselves, ate, danced, laughed. They waited Kai and Soo Yeon.

" You're late! What were you doing during all this time? " asked Taeyeon

" I think they have done interesting things together ... " teased Sunny

" Yah! Sunny sunbae! This is wrong! I washed! " replied Kai, embarrassed by the remark of Sunny

" Are you really sure Kai? " continued Yuri

" We also discussed a lot together. " calmly replied Soo Yeon

" I'll introduce myself. I'm Kim Taeyeon, leader of SNSD or Girls Generations if you want. To my left is Sunny and my right is Yuri. The rest are Yoona, Hyoyeon the dancing girl there and Sooyoung, the tall girl. "

" I-I am delighted to meet you. I am Soo Yeon and I'm 18. "

" She is too cute! " shouted Sooyoung

" EXO! It's your turn to introduce yourself to Soo Yeon. " said Taeyeon

" We are a group called EXO but we are divided into two groups. I'm like you must know Kris, leader of  EXO-M. Here is Chen, Xiumin, Tao, Luhan and Lay that you already know. We are Chinese except Chen and Xiumin who are Korean! " explained Kris

" I'm Suho and I am the leader of EXO-K. Here are Baek hyun, D.O, Chanyeol, Sehun and Kai. We are all Korean. " said Suho

" I am delighted to meet you all SNSD and EXO. I live in California but I'm Korean. I live with my mother and studying in a special school for people who love music and dance. " said Soo Yeon

" I'm glad you found someone! We also found a person. She will not be long in coming. She's gone to prepare. " said Taeyeon

" Could we start testing? I can not wait to see her talents. " said Yoona

" Yes, me too! Start a battle dance first! " replied Hyoyeon , excited

" What do you think Soo Yeon? " asked  Baek hyun

" I-I'm okay. " she replied

" What music do you want? " asked Yoona

" As you wish. I have no preference. "

" Ok! Xiumin Chen! Can you put "Like a G6" please? " asked Hyoyeon

" Of course Hyoyeon sunbaenim! "

   Yoona and Hyoyeon began to dance. Their movements were the same, they were coordinated: they were perfect. Soo Yeon looked carefully. She was amazed to see them dance. " They dance very well. I hope to do better. " she thought. When the music was finished, everyone applauded the two girls. Soo Yeon began to stress. She was afraid to disappoint them. When Chen activated the music, Soo Yeon began to dance. She resumed exactly the same movements as Hyoyeon and Yoona. Towards the end of the music, she started to do popping and wave. Everyone looked carefully at Soo Yeon. " She dances very well. " thought Kai. When the music ended, everyone ran towards Soo Yeon. She was surprised and pleased that so many people applauded and loved her dance.

" Yeah! You were perfect Soo Yeon! If I had to choose between the two Dancing Queens and you , I would hesitate! " shouted Sunny

" You dance really Soo Yeon! " continued Hyoyeon

" Yes, it's true. "  said Yoona

" I-Thank you ... " she said, embarrassed but happy

" I really want to hear her sing! " yelled Taeyeon

" We too! " said EXO

" As you wish ... It does not bother you that I sing "Stay" by Rihanna on the piano? " she asked

" Of course not! I love the piano! "  answered Taeyeon

   Soo Yeon went to the piano to interpret "Stay"  by Mikky Ekko and Rihanna. She sighed and began to sing part of the song. Nobody spoke : they were all captivated by the angelic voice of Soo Yeon. When she stopped, she turned and bowed before she smiled at them. Everyone shouted " Bravo! " or " PERFECT! ".

" Will you join us? In our group? " asked Taeyeon

" We really want you to have among us! You are really great. I'm sure Seohyun will accept you because she also loves the piano. " added Yuri

" I really want you to come with us ... I'd like to sing and dance with you. " said Hyoyeon

" Uh ... I do not know at all ... Where do you live? " she asked

" We live in SM Entertainment in South Korea. " said Yoona

" IN KOREA? "

" Accept please ... " begged Sooyoung

" If I moved to Korea, this means that I will not be intimidated by anyone, or hit by my mother. Nobody will laugh over me and I would start a new life. But and Tiffany? She will be really sad if I agree ... Maybe she will accompany me ... I'm not leaving without her . " thought Soo Yeon . She thought, thought on this proposal.

" So? " asked Luhan and Lay

" I think ... I think I'll accept. " she replied, smiling

" YEAH! "

" But ... And the second girl? " asked Soo Yeon

" Oh yes, you're right. She arrives, she is in the elevator. We will wait and test her too. If she is better than you, we will unfortunately have to choose someone else. " sadly said Taeyeon

 " Andwae Taeyeon sunbae! Soo Yeon is really nice. " said Sehun

" These are orders of Soo Man-sshi! "

Point of view of Jessica

 We were waiting the second person. A few seconds later, someone knocked on the door. Tao opened the door and a girl with long black hair appeared. She had bangs and makeup. She wore black pants with a gray top and heels. She was beautiful. When approached, I could recognize Tiffany. OMG, the second person was Tiffany.

" FANY! Is this you? You're really pretty like that! " I shouted, amazed by her beauty

" SICA! But what are you doing here? I called you several times but you do not answer me ... " she replied, surprised

" My phone had no battery. I'm sorry to have worried about me Tiffany ... "

" It does not matter Jessica. It happens to everyone! I forgive you! We are best friends! " she said, smiling at me

" You ... you said Jessica? "Asked Sehun

" Y-Yes. I'm Soo Yeon but everyone calls me Jessica. "

" I prefer Jessica. This name really suits you. " said Lu Han

" Thank you. "

Point of view of Kai

   " My name is Jessica. ". This sentence shocked me. I was stunned, surprised. This girl was Jessica Jung. The girl of my dreams. I really found her. Now, I remember everything. This is it. They are very similar. I put down my glass and went walking towards Jessica. The girl of my thoughts. When I got close to her, I watched her intently. She was really pretty. Just like in my dream : the same look. I put my hands on her shoulders and said, smiling :

" I've finally found you, Jessica Jung. "

This was not a strange dream. The audition, California, Jessica Jung. Jessica, the girl of my thoughts, I'm here.
