SUMMARY: "What is silence?" Many times did Kim Kibum ask himself said question, eyes staring blankly at the ceiling of his dark, empty room. The only pieces of furniture he had were a small bed, a tiny, tattered old closet and his desk. He didn't even have a chair, yet he rarely complained about it. "Does me being deaf equal silence? Or can it actually be heard?" He would wonder, yet he would never find an answer... And sometimes he felt like he didn't even need one. Because for him, even silence wasn't unheard.
A loud smack echoed in the small room, followed by a sharp, piercing cry. Brown, feline eyes met cruel, black ones. "You little piece of !"The owner of the darker, sinister eyes exclaimed, a small smirk playing on his lips as he heard the other, smaller male whimper.
"I'm sorry,"he apologized for something he hadn't even done, tears rolling down his cheeks slowly, mixing with the blood that seeped out of a small scar below his right eye,"I'm sorry."he repeated, yet his only answer was a cruel smile the elder's lips twisted into, his gaze crazed as he stared at boy that was still whispering those two boys repeatedly as if he wanted to convince himself that indeed, he was sorry... But still, even when the elder left them room, he had no idea what he had to be sorry for...
As he curled up on his messy, dirty bed, pulling the blood-stained covers over his fragile body, he spoke again as if the other would hear his slurred, almost incoherent words,"I'm sorry, father,"he whispered. "I'm sorry."
