You sometimes... unexpected things happen in unexpected times.

"Kris likes you."

Jessica almost stumbled and fell head first into the muddy grass. Kai turned at her sudden actions and tried to suppress his laughter upon seeing her expression and clueless wide eyes. He just chuckled and sipped his orange juice through the straw.

"The way he looks at you- it's a cliché okay, but hear me out!" Kai exclaimed, seeing Jessica's disbelieving face. "Kris isn't one to get close with someone just like that." Kai explained along with a snap of his fingers to emphasise his point. 

When these things happen it's not like rolling a dice or flipping a coin when it comes down to your own emotions.

"It takes him time. His cold face is like some sort of protection mechanism. He likes very little people, he merely just 'tolerates' them, his words not mine. But you..." Kai raises his eyes off his drink and stares up at Jessica straight into the eyes. "His eyes twinkle. And let me tell you, this sounds ridiculous to me too! But they twinkle brighter than any star around you. Just... think about what I said, okay?" He grinned, shaking his head at himself for being so cheesy before getting off the wooden seat and leaving Jessica sitting on the stands overlooking the court by herself whilst clouded with thoughts.

What do you do when you don't know yourself how you feel? I just wonder...

She looked up to see Kris and his team, which she discovered to be called EXO, practicing hard for their upcoming tournament not far away. 

She definitely liked Kris, more than just a friend, but maybe it's just a crush? Does she like him more than Donghae? The one who walked into her life only months ago or the childhood friend? 

Jessica sighed whilst continuing to watch the group of boys practicing hard, but with one big question lingering on her mind...
