Jonghyun was leaning on his doorway as he watch his dad drive up in the moving van with his new step-brother and step-mother. It had already been over a year since his dad started dating again and week since he had remarried. Now the two families were going to move in together for the first time. Jonghyun's family had the bigger home so they were moving in with them. Jonghyun sighed as he watch his new family walking towards him. This was going to be something else he had to get use to. Jonghyun plastered the best smile he could muster on his face.

“Welcome Home” He could hear his dad say from behind his new mom and brother as everyone entered the house.

“Annyeong haseo” Jonghyun greeted.

“We have a lot of things to do today. Jonghyun why don't you take Changhyun upstairs to his new room” his dad said.

Jonghyun only nodded in response and started walking up the stairs followed by Changhyun.

Changhyun and Jonghyun had lived in the same neighborhood since birth, gone to the same schools but the two were strangers to one another. Sure they knew of each other but since they ran in different crowds, as side from exchanging the occasional glances of acknowledgment they had never really talked to each other.

“This will be your room” Jonghyun pointed. “This is mine next door.”

Changhyun walked into his now room. It was empty since they hadn't move in his bedroom furniture yet. “It's nice” he said looking around.

“This use to be my mom's study room” Jonghyun explained from the doorway.

“Oh” was all Changhyun could say and the two stood together in an awkward silence not knowing what else to say.

Downstairs their parents were sitting on the couch in each other's arms.

“Do you think they will get along”

“Of course, honey. They just need time to adjust.”

“I hope so. It would be nice if they could have each other to lean on.”
